Not trying to be the bad guy here, but a lot of people care, and everybody SHOULD care. Unless specifically told otherwise, I don't see how anyone should be able to claim something that they haven't paid for, regardless of availability.

Stadiums have seating/pricing structures for a reason - it's not just an arbitrary designation of prices. I'm sure that RSL plans finances around the fact that a certain percentage of people will likely buy tickets of type X, and another percentage will buy tickets of type Y, etc. Obviously the migration has reached a point where RSL feel that they're being taken advantage of, and have decided to protect the pocketbook.

If RSL allowed everyone to move where ever they wanted after kickoff, I'm sure a good number of fans would be ecstatic. Except for those who actually paid the money for the good seats. And then, of course, everyone would just buy the KFC tickets for the following game and sit where they pleased, while RSL loses thousands of dollars for that game, and probably millions over a season. Followed by the inevitable raising of ticket prices to compensate, and then everyone loses. Except maybe for KFC.

Maybe a solution is that tickets to card-holding supporters club members for the appropriate sections be sold at a discounted rate. Members could just flash their cards at the ticket-checkers and all would be fine. Realistically, I can't see the U of U ticket office changing their policies or ticket-selling procedures for the benefit of 50 of so fans, however.

Probably the best solution is just to pay the money for the correct ticket.

Well said good sir.

That's kind of what I was trying to say, but not really getting it across. The first time I stood with the RCB, I had a cheaper ticket, ok, but every time after that, because I wanted to be part of RCB, I started buying my tickets in 38. I think most people would do the same if given the chance. I just don't see it as near the problem that it seems that the FO is making it out to be. Again, if you give people a good experience the first time, chances are they will keep coming back. Hassle people at every turn and they will not have a good time. Also, maybe put both groups next to the kicking for chicken people. If they want cheap seats, great, give them the tickets that people who are willing to pay more do not want.

Hopefully things like this get thought through with the new stadium. make the cheap seats truly cheap and all you can say is you get what you pay for. If you don't like the noise and blocked view, pay more for a ticket. I am a fan of making things general admission, makes a lot of sense to be honest. Not all sections need to be GA, but make the supporter's clubs sections GA and it would make the experience a lot better for everyone.

BYU football hasn't exactly been a powerhouse since the turn of the century, but last I heard they still have pretty good fan support. This argument has always seemed very simplistic to me, especiaaly when we brag about our awesome attendence figures for what has been a crappy team record-wise.

For those of you who are unfamiliar, especiaaly is a Nordic word with Eutruscan roots that is defined as "very similar to especially, only more so".

I debated putting byu in there for that reason but I was referring to BYU in the 80's when you could not get a ticket to a football game because they were national champs or had Jim Mcmahon as QB or to Basketball because Danny Ainge was a tosser... I mean hero... but because now they are not winning every match you can get tickets... so my reference to BYU is valid.
Just like I can get really cheap tickets to a Ute game now but when Urban Meyer was there I could not get a ticket for the soul of my first born...
So the reference and context are correct and far from simplistic...

Not all fans are die hards like the supporters...
I could name at least 10 people who no longer join the Loyalists because of the reasons I put forth. I'm sure there are others who don't come because the team is losing, but that's never been a consideration for myself or any of the people I have in mind.

I would have been quite happy to stay in my cheap corner seats and swear at myself, except for the FO decided to turn it into a freakshow over there once I'd already renewed...

So I figure it's not my fault that I have to move from my ticketed seat. 🙂

Well to be completely honest... that is unfortunate... but is there loss...

The section has made accomodations for alot of ideas... alot of ideas that either work or don't work... but to stop coming because one of there ideas didn't work or was not accepted by the group is not actually being a supporter is it? It is a cop-out!

Not every idea works... I can attest to that because I have suggested a great many things that have either not been adopted or in practice did not work or were just plain stupid... but I am still there every game.

They need to keep coming and suggesting ideas just like I do or anyone else that suggests ideas does... week in and week out...

I would have thought you would have fit in quite well over there with your friends Bigfoot, Jersey Devil, and Yeti. 😉
