What are we, Class VI?

Okay, I know that there have been hard times this year that may have sapped the enthusiasm out of some of us. But, we've now won 4 games in a row! Doesn't that make you want to jump and shout and cheer?? Are we the Loyalists or Class VI??

Saturday's match, nobody cheered...unless a goal had been scored within the last 5 minutes. Nobody sang the songs. Nobody waved their flags. The flags sat on the floor forgotten. Do people really care anymore? Should I go to the RCB. I think they still have the spirit.

I'm really disheartened by the lack of enthusiasm from our most loyal fans. What can we do to change this? Anything?

Towards the end of the game, the Captain Of The 2023 WWC Champions & I came over & waved flags.

We were over on the West Side showing off our new hair ribbon to the rich people and looking for Snakes, when Klein scored. Or, um, when the referee said that Klein scored

I could see & hear the Loyalists just fine.

But that was my bad for not starting a chorus of "In Your Houston Home". That one is on me.

Where were you standing? I heard plenty of cheering even when we weren't scoring goals. Did I imagine it or something?

Unless you bring a flag yourself, you tend not to think about waving one when a goal is scored. I know I don't think about waving one unless I have remembered to bring my own. And you don't wave one at other times during the game because it blocks people's view. At least I don't.

Personally, I saw 40-50 people standing and cheering in sections 32 and 33. Are you saying that isn't enough? While I agree that we could use even more, it seemed like a lot of people were participating on Saturday to me. Again, maybe I was just imagining it.

The Loyalists sounded good from where I was and there were times when The loyalists were all I could here....

FWIW they could be better... everyone can... even the RCB!

Just like the players... the fans will have off-nights... just keep plugging away... cos that is what fans do...

I looked down several times from my vantage point in section 38 and saw a bunch of loyalists standing and clapping in unison. I have no idea what cheer you were all doing, but it was enough for me to know that there was something going on over there.

As for the flags, well...there need to be way more flags, but I know that the people behind me loath flags. It doesn't matter who's behind me the flags always seem to impede the view of people to the side of and behind me.

I won't sit down, but other than that I try and be somewhat mindful of the people sitting down around me.

EDIT: That being said, you're more than welcome to hang out with the RCB for a game or two. or to. or too.

The Loyalists looked sparse on tv. Very sparse. Made me feel a bit sad, but I've given 110% to the Loyalists in the past and rarely, if ever, felt that it mattered to anybody else as much as it did to me. So basically... good luck.

Maybe I'd go stand with RCB, but after receiving such loving words as "we'll find you after the game, preferably in a dark alley," that idea is really just funny more than anything else.

So, television it is. "Best seats in the house"... literally...

I think part of the problem may have been that people were spread out a little more than usual. I know I went to sit with my wife about 12 rows up in 33 to help her out with the baby. But I kept cheering away while I was there. It gave me a different perspective from above. I noticed that there are quite a few people scattered around 32 and 33 that participate. We even had about 5 guys one row up and farther south from where I was sitting that were getting involved by standing and cheering. The problem isn't numbers, it's just that everyone is so spread out.

The numbers of people participating are there. Maybe what we need to do to make it better is see if we can get everyone that is particpating in a tighter group. I'm not sure that is going to happen though. People seem to want to have a little space. I guess it is something we could try and work on though.
