DC's a bigger market so it stands to reason more of that 10 million would come from there than SLC. And that at that some of SLC side of things may include RM making world-wide TV income, replica sales, etc. I still wouldn't be suprised if RSL is only coughing up $2 or $3 million
The reported amount was $1 million dollars.

RSL is selling a whole line of RSL vs RM apparel with the August 12 date on it... I hope my new wife-beater doesn't have FALZE advertising on it.

On the radio, they've been calling it "The Xango Cup".

You'd figure that the Federal Trade Commission would chip in some sponsorship money as a result.

Nope. I've only seen it available at the stadium on game days.

My wife got me a shirt, but it's not that cool. I hoping they'll get some shirts with the official "showdown" logo that includes the RM logo on the right.

The official RSL page is still advertising the Madrid game with this statement: "Beckham, Ronaldo and more are coming!"

Also, Checketts specifically mentioned Becks in his whole statement about the Aug. 12 deadline.

If neither of them is actually going to play, I think that there will be some very disappointed people, and some serious questions about RSL's advertising of the event. RM would still play a great game, but I'm sure that a lot of casual fans threw down $30 to $200 to see Becks and Ronaldo.

I read, but dont remember where, that becks would be here and if unable to play would participate in some sort of autgraph session.

Didn't Ronaldo just have knee surgery? Wounldt that mean not seeing him? I did read that Kaka was maybe going to join RM amd the rumors are also out that Ronaldo (Christian) is not feeling welcome/safe in England anymore and is a possible move as well.

Welcome to boards, NSPS.

But like Edaw said, Real Madrid might be showing up with better than Ronaldo & Beckham.
