Amazing first half. RSL deserved a goal in there somewhere. Stupid world class defenders. Anyone who thinks RM wasn't trying needs to review some of the tackling in the first half. They were trying, they just weren't on the same page...which resulted in RSL looking good.

I've got to disagree with the assessments on Garlick vs. Nolly. Despite my general dislike of Scott from day 1, he had the better match, in my opinion. Nolly had some good saves, but he was obviously tentative, had poor positioning much of the time, and his distribution...well...he might as well have been a punter in the NFL just giving it to the other team. I was in the north end zone, so I may have just noticed him more, though.

Hey Merk. You should see about posting the game broadcast link on BigSoccer at the post below, so we can get some signatures.

Done! It's a lost cause, but I like how it gets some needed recognition for Hatch and Scholes. I agree, Hatch has really grown as a soccer broadcaster. You can tell he's become a fan of the sport. I suspect his main issue at first was an unfamiliarity with the sport and, frankly, not enough experience with actual live sports broadcasts.

They were handing out some of those "commemorative tickets" at the RM match. (Like those that they handed out at the opening match last season)

If you are from out of the area and want one, let me know & I will mail it.

TomKat news

RSL - RM was mentioned in Us Magazine. I can't find it on line, though.

It was in an article about Tom Cruise. It mentioned that he attended the match at the Delta Center.

No wonder it seemed crowded.
