Ellinger was on 1280 again. I think that most of this stuff has been mentioned before, but:

-Adolfo Gregorio is signed. FIFA says that he has to wil til Aug 15, but MLS is appealing.

-RSL tried to sign Greg Ostertag, errrr, Conor Casey; but then Casey was injured during the Gold Cup.

-He does not know if Mathis will start on Saturday.

-He joked that Real Madrid played the Galaxy so that Beckham could pick out a house in LA. He then said that if Beckham goes to LA, the league won't let the Galaxy have both Spice Boy and Landon. And Ellinger knows Donovan well and we're 90 minutes away by air from LA............

-He never mentioned Cabrera.

I know Cabrera was in SLC last weekend to iron out a deal with RSL.

Ellinger's on.

- Didn't want to even smile during the game until extra time when he figured they were safe.

- Talked about set pieces in the pre-game meeting

- Talking about his chat with Mathis (same info as article in DesNews)

- Scottie complimenting the play of Andy Williams, and the contrast with earlier in the season.

- Ellinger is happy to have him (Andy) back, permanently.

- Talking about Pope's availability. He may be back for Chivas just in time to go play for the Nats again on the 17th.

- Gold Cup talk. Gets US into Confederations Cup gives US more money. "Significant title for US Soccer".

- DJ: Exhibition Games - good judge of where MLS is? Ellinger: Int. teams have to try and be competitive for these games to get them ready for their league play. Good sign that teams are coming here to the US. Talking about the MLS All-Stars team we're sending to Spain to play Real Madrid, but who will actually be available because of cup (?) duty.
