Did anyone hear Cila's interview with Ryan Hatch on the post game show tonight? I think it's awesome that he wanted Colorado to trade him to RSL at the beginning of the season. He didn't really explain why that was, but I'm assuming it was so he could play with fellow Duke University grad, Jason Kreis. I guess I wont say too much else since there's not a [R] in this thread. I'm just curious to know more about why Cila wanted to play here if anyone knows.

John Ellinger coached him (surprise, surprise) on the U-17 team.

The Rapids were going to keep him on the reserve squad with that salary after he scored 4 goals for them last season with limited play.

And he is still has reserve squad play here, but he would rather prove himself under Ellinger after he thought he proved his worth last year with the Rapids.

At least I think those were some of the reasons that were mentioned when he came over.

Anyway, he does have results with 3 goals and 1 assist in 4 or 5 games he has started.

He's our second best goal scorer so far, ahead of Mathis, Williams, Watson, Washington, Brown, and everyone esle except you know who. I think he has had good results for the few games he has started in.

GOReAL!!!! GET IN THE PLAYOFFS DANGIT!!!!!!! :jawdrop: :dancing: :jawdrop:

Coach E interview 8/16

Happy for Jason's goal - unbelievable goal among the best of his goals, if not his best

more superstar love fest - first player, great leader, great work rate

PK asks about falling behind - disappointing, have to solve this, always under the gun have to fight back,

JK 100 - replay of refs lack consistency interview from Sat. night

Coach E's comments - this came up in the officiating committee
calls, cards, has to get better

FIFA has standards - age 45 can't ref in the middle move into training roles, lose good officials fitness level rather than age

fans throwing stuff relating to officials? - curb streamers too much at wrong times, fine after goals, but not this

called committee to report unrest about bad officiating - more cracks about streamers not unraveling

SJ hot streak,

Win games Crapids games crucial, but have to win others as well to make the playoffs

SJ probably to Houston

give ourselves a chance to go in to the half with a lead defense started strong and now not so much offense started bad and now scoring goals

Jamie comments jokes about cutting off body parts
not malicious - retalitory boards make noise he learns

will be missed gives all

roster moves O'brien and Dipsy gone
talks about new players Gregorio, Cabrera, and Scarlett and where they can play add depth to back and wide midfield

Gregorio is official other work visas

SJ improvement comments blah, blah, smurfquakes not losing people to national call ups

*I will translate later if my notes don't make any sense.

Quakes have done it by being normal.
I mean, they have barely any issues with int'l, cuz all the ones they have are really green card guys (Cerritos, Moreno) and Canucks.
And they have the best roleplayers in MLS.

Darn I am jealous.
Houston? Say it ain't so.

I was listening to Coach Elinger on 1280 this morning. He was saying that the streamers are starting to get out of hand and he thinks that they're going to start to curb them. He said that he's on the referee comittee and he mentioned during the all-star break that the reffing is inconsistent and he can certainly understand the fans' frustration with throwing stuff. He thinks that RSL fans are passionate and he loves it. He was concerned about the streamers however, saying that he would hate for a player to turn an ankle on an unravelled streamer. He also mentioned how Josh Wolff kicked the ball into an unravelled one and unravelled it.

I didn't listen to the entire show, I'll listen to it on the replay later. I'm just wondering if anyone else caught the show and had any insights/comments about it.
