The FO, tickets and what to do So, If you invite people to your section be it the Loyalists or RCB without them having tickets in that section you are going to most likely get them busted by the group called "ticket Nazi's", who are in fact only doing their job based on the directions they are given.
If the FO truely wanted the supporter sections to grow they would ask the RES staff to lay off both sections. After speaking with David Hunter, Trey and others they have repeated that they will not sell tickets in the first 5 rows on the south end of section 38 unless, the match sells more than 20,000. Yet for the Houston match, somehow they sold or exchanged tickets directly in the middle of the very area they said they would not sell them in, worse yet a family with 2 younger childern. What is their objective in this to piss off the RCB or turn casual fans against coming to future events? So while they have on multiple occassions refused to reissue my season ticket in 38, they will encourage or at least permit the RES staff to harass the supporter groups on a regular basis. I really hope that with a new stadium on the way, that the FO will closely look at how they are handling ticket sales and they surely need to address the way they deal with supporter groups. Between the great swear off to the constant harassment and selling tickets they have promised not to sell, they seem to lack a vision or understanding of how to leverage the supporter groups to benefit the organization. Hint one, quit paying Samba Gringa, allocate those funds and tickets to the supporter groups, we will when allowed make sure that there are very few minutes without a chant, drums, cowbells or harassment of the opposing team. I can clearly hear the RCB on almost every broadcast of a home match, why pay someone to make noise when you have people who will do it for free.

When my mother was pregnant with me they did an ultrasound and found she was having twins. When they did another ultrasound a few weeks later they discovered that I had reabsorbed the other fetus. Do I regret this? No. I believe his tissue has made me stronger. I now have the strength of a grown man and a little baby.

I've heard that Samba Gringa is wanted by the Dave himself. Maybe we need an email campaign to tell him how much we HATE it.

For some reason this poster just seems to describe RSL's FO.

Maybe DUD can have Salsa Gringa up in that big expensive box he sits in.
And I agree with all the problems with the ticket nazis. They are simply out to harrass us. Ask Steele about the Madrid game where he was sitting in his season tkt seats (cause the FO wont let him move to E38) and the ticket nazi was harrasing him simply for standing in his assigned seats and said..."I have seen you over there with those other guys".... Steele and myself would gladly pay the $5 extra (or whatever) to move our season tkts to E38 but they wont let us. I am tired of being harrassed for multiple reasons every game. It gets really old and makes me not want to come back. If I wasnt so hooked I wouldnt. So I imagine there are plenty of fans that have been turned off to even coming to our games. Its too bad. :banpoop: on the ticket nazis

Well, I' to blame alittle bit for the lack of flag waiving and the drop in numbers just because I haven't been there lately.
For the DC game I was on the West side with some family that hadn't been to a soccer game ever before so I needed to be with them to break them in. Then I wasn't even in Utah for the Houston game, I was in Chile that weekend. And for this coming Wednesday's game against LA I will be getting there at halftime due to work schedule. One thing that I've noticed though that would really help is if just eveyone would get into the section before the game starts. Many times it seems like when the team is coming out and getting introduced that there are only about 3 or 4 of us there and ready to go. It makes us look weak. Let's first all concentrate on getting there early and getting roudy before the game starts.

good idea. I've noticed that as well. And I am guilty. Bringing family or whatever always causes me to run behind. I am planning on being there plenty early on wed and sat.

All in all I've enjoyed this thread. I've always thought that the whole idea of what we do is home field advantage. I think I am done missing games too. I got offered another gig the weekend of FCD but had too turn it down;)
Come on out and participate. Don't be one of "those" that comes back for the playoffs.

One thing that is preventing some of us from getting in there early is the tailgate. There's quite a bit of clean-up involved and if everyone would stick around and help out before going into the stadium, it would make it that much faster for everyone else to get into the stadium that much earlier.
We may also have to set a cut-off time where we simply stop serving. Right now there always seem to be a few stragglers that get there late and we end up cooking and waiting for them too. I'm not sure I want to turn anyone away, but if we truly want to get everyone into the stadium on time, we may have to start doing that.
