Perhaps I've had a different interaction (or lack of interaction) with people that have kept me from feeling that way or believing that's the case?

If you really feel this way, then you are actively participating in the abuse perpetrated upon you by the front office.

You are acting willfully blindly, thereby allowing them free access to kick you repeatedly in the groin.

The FO acts horribly. They represent the team horribly. I've been appalled repeatedly. Virtually everything they did to attempt to gain a stadium was bungled, then they blamed the people from whom they needed support.

Simply pathetic.

I read him to be saying that such people might be more easily lead by the nose... :jawdrop:

If that's the way you see it.

I'm very happy with what we have, and what's happening with the team. I don't recall ever being "kicked in the groin" by anyone at the FO - so I'm not sure how I'm perpetuating that abuse. If you're getting kicked in the groin, maybe you should look at why they are abusing you and not me. And in the difference you will discover how to not be kicked in the groin any longer - or at least not feel that you are getting kicked in the groin.

Of course this all relies on the assumption that I'm not actually getting kicked in the groin, instead of being blind to the fact that I actually am. Somehow I doubt the latter.

Well if you're blind to the fact then you wouldn't know.

That's true. Can someone help me see the light?

Dude, you do realize that the more you make condescending statements like that, the more people are apt to keep fighting with you, right?

I have been frustrated by this thread because of how nasty it has gotten. Maybe petty is a better word for it. It seems like a bunch of people who were frustrated about the possibility that our team was going to get sold got together and railed on guys who saw things differently than they did. Aerick was told that because of this football affiliation, political affiliation, etc. he was basically naive and getting screwed by the FO. I respect the posters who feel the need to criticize and to vent and to complain about the fact that they thought the team was going to be moved. But it is very frustrating to me when that frustration spills over onto fellow fans in the form of attacks. I don't believe that the FO deserves a free pass and that they are above criticism, but it seems that from what we know now the "naive," optimistic posters were right: the deal got done. So far I haven't seen any of the posters who were sure that RSL would be sold and that people who supported the FO were idiots accepting that in this case the optimistic were right.

Please promise me that if one of your kids ever gets raped that you will let your wife help them deal with the psychological aftermath.

I don't think that's an appropriate example, but I'm pretty sure that neither me nor my wife would be capable of helping our child with the psychological aftermath without some serious help and counseling with experts. I would imagine that most people would be in the same boat - despite their outlook on life.
