In fairness to them, they were only responding to a caller's comments about the negativity of the discussion boards. And Scholesy did discuss the excellent viewpoints that can be found here as well, admitting he frequents the forums from time to time himself.

Anyway, whatever. I just thought it was funny, to be honest, since Scholesy was online posting during the broadcast.

It's almost like RSL tries to piss the fans off or something, seriously...

Yes, I do have a closet full of Galaxy gear still. Deal with it.

But I did not leave E32 in the middle of a match to interview of the job of Grand Galactic Emperor or whatever the leader of the Riot Squad is called. ("The Parole Officer", I think)

I have not threatened to move my barbecue to Rochester if the county doesn't pay me for the little glass thingy in the lid.

Threatening to move a team after less than two years in the city is low class, even if it is a ploy or a bluff.

so stop going to the games instead of complaining. You are all acting childish.

They started it first...

😉

... and it's not a complaint as much as it's an observation. I'll support the team, the guys who play hard. I go to see Talley because game after game, he may not give the best performance, but he sure as hades gives 110% on the pitch.

my support for the FO however has dwindled... and now I feel the need to wear a cup every where I go so I'm prepared for these unexpected crotch shots that they deliver.

Fans being childish is one topic of debate, but the issue here is that Spence is supposed to be the professional and representing the organization. If I were his boss, I certainly wouldn't want him bad-mouthing the fans who want to criticize the team. As has been pointed out, criticism is not the enemy to love. We whine because we care.

The post-game show is completely unlistenable. To be fair, Spence isn't really in a position where he can agree with those who might call in to voice concern or displeasure with certain aspects of the game or the team, but the show is ridiculously political.

I'm not sure if I heard the same post-game as everyone else because I didn't hear them being critical of fans complaining. In fact, I think that they went out of their way to say that fans could and should complain.

I think that there point was that they didn't think it had to elevate to the status of getting personal with people that they don't know personally. It was about saying things that you would never say to someone if they were standing right in front of them. Those were the kinds of comments that they were criticisizing, not the ones complaining about the team at all.

Not only that but they also went on to say that there was some great stuff on the internet and that they learned a lot by visiting the message boards. They were very complimentary of the insight and knowledge to be had here.

It's interesting to me that different people can hear the same thing and focus on entirely different things.

It feels good to get a win on the road, when it is televised. When the game is not televised, you know we won, but you don't know how we played. Did we play well, or did the Crapids just suck?

No TV sucks.

For whatever it's worth, I'm not upset at the team, the coach or the FO. My love affair continues...

I guess some people take offense more easily than others. Actually, I KNOW that some people do. It's a fact of life, I'm just glad I'm not one of them.
