Not now.
If someone came to their first game this week they could still be accepted. No one's suffering is more deep than the next guys.

That reminds me, I still think one of my funniest message board moments was when I had "Fire Ellinger" in that blurb under my user name and Jim Umber put "Fire PRK166" under his. Classic! :signrocko

Exactly what I was going to say. I think the rain played a big part in that game.

I'm no physicist, but I would imagine that the rain combined with field turf only made for faster field conditions. How many of our passes were just a bit too fast, yet placed in a great spot for a solid offensive play? I lost count at 134. Colorado had a few too, but not nearly as many as we did in my estimation. But then again, I did bring my rose-colored glasses to the game.

And 'yes', the tie, and the away and home wins are enough for me to continue to be encouraged about this team.

Seriously, I'm really curious to know your thoughts on Alex Ferguson as a manager/coach. Do you think he's a good coach? I mean he is the most successful manager in the history of the English game, just wonder what you think of him?

Sorry, I've been incomunicado for the last couple of days. My avatar should give you a clue as to what I think of ManU and SAF. I think he is a fantastic coach.

Now, I suppose you are going to make a point as it relates to this post and my views. Most likely you will show how SAF went through difficult periods, etc.

But I will wait for you to explain yourself...

Lest you brand me as an alarmist, let me remind you all that you were the ones that voted the way you did.

What happened between 4/29 and now? Have you all gotten soft on the issue?

Aren't people allowed to change their minds?

(I never voted, so I'm off the hook however you look at it.)

edit: My position, to be clear, is this: If you find a better person for the job, hire him. No matter how many games he's winning or losing. I'd say if Ellinger won every game of the season to this point and The Bruce was available, I'd still take Bruce... because I think he's better. End of story. I know it's simplistic, but I just don't care enough to give it more thought. :signrocko

This scenario is no longer hypothetical. Chivas won Saturday night to bring them within one point of RSL with two games in hand...

37 people voted in that poll and 18 people needed at least 2 wins for Ellinger to remain on and 18 people wanted 3 or more wins for him to stay.

This doesn't sound like an outcry for removal.

They have only lost 1 of their last 4 games so it isn't like everyone wanted him fired and then got wishy washy once the team actually showed improvement.

Take the poll now and see how many others besides you and park are calling for his head. I'd be curious to see how many others are looking for the quick fix.

I suspect you are the vocal minority at this point.
