Well, once again RSL underachieves and cannot pull off the much ballyhooed 3-game win streak.

That was one ugly match today against Colorado. Garlick had some pathetic goalkeeping. Colorado's first goal was off of a Garlick slap at the ball.

Cunny was one of only a few bright spots from today.

The 1 point gleaned from this match didn't really help RSL's cause. Chivas plays Eastern Conference bottom suckers Chicago later tonight. If Chivas can pull off a win, then they will leapfrog LA, leaving LA in the MLS cellar and Chivas will be one point away from RSL (and they will still have two games in hand).

4 weeks ago, before the LA game at home (4/29), 94% of you who voted said that if Ellinger didn't win at least 2 of the upcoming 4 home games, he should be sacked. Well, those four home games have been played and Ellinger has won only 1 of those 4 home games.

I imagine that many of you will say that the away win at LA and today's tie against Colorado mitigate things a little bit. Well, in that case, we will give him one more home game next week. If he gives us another home loss, then he won’t have any excuses.

So, at the end of the day, what has Ellinger given us? Another 2-game winning streak? Nothing new. We’ve already had two of those, however they were both last year.

Today RSL had long stretches of very ugly soccer. When are we going to start playing the world class-level soccer that Dave Checkett's envisions? Not likely while Ellinger is coaching RSL.

We're almost 1/3 of the way through this season and what do we have to show for it? A mediocre 2-5-2 record and only 8 out of a possible 27 points. Feels a lot like last season. Hang on tight for another medicore season.

This post is not a knee-jerk reaction of any particular game. It is a response to a pathetic first season and much of the same for 1/3 of the second season. Enough is enough. Do we really need a whole other season like last year to convince us that something needs to change?

I'm sorry that you have lost touch with reality. This is still a young team developing. That's was their goal for the year and it should be understood by the fans. Don't expect a superstar team in the first year. We're still better than Chivas and LA. I refer you to my first post on this subject and this board.
