20K additional seats at a conservative $20 a pop = $400,000. almost a half a million bones...

20K additional seats at a more realistic $30 a pop = $600,000

20K additional seats at $40 a pop = $800,000; almost a million bones...

20K additional seats at $50 a pop = $1 million benjamins...

bad decision in who's mind? This might actually help get that SSS in the long run.

Any guess as to how much single game tickets will go for?

Exactly. A few of the county politicians were somewhat disaproving at the idea of moving this match to Provo. One thing too to consider is the difficulty of reassigning seats for the 1000s of season ticket holders if the venue changed.

I'm just happy they are coming. Going to be a great event and a rare chance to see some legendary players right here in Utah.

67 hours until WC2006 kicks off!

My guess, since they're taking A and B tickets is they'll be double the normal price.

My 27.50 ticket for RSL matches is then $55.00.

One source close the arrangement said deliberations between the team's home field at Rice-Eccles Stadium and Edwards Stadium in Provo were going back and forth "every hour."

Add to that the markup that RSL will need to compensate for lost LES revenue.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner. According to a neighbor who's fairly high up in Sandy City, this gesture of goodwill may go a long way to getting our stadium. Remember, county and Sandy City funding is still on the table.

Speaking of that, has anybody heard anything else about how the stadium negotiations are going? It's been strangely quiet since the Corroon announcement.

But I digress. I think the success of the RM game depends on two things:
1. Sell out RES. Get your friends, family, co-workers to the game. I've already got a waiting list of people who want me to get them tickets. Show the politicians that soccer CAN bring home the bacon.
2. Make it loud. We want to show RM that we appreciate soccer here. With a long-term partnership between RSL and RM in the works, maybe RM will even chip in some money for our stadium.

I'm asking for more of the RCB to buy their season tickets, why? We can sit together and enjoy this match.

IIRC: season tix aren't that expensive any more because we just flrew through 6 home games (there's only 20).

What Fuegote said!

The best way to get tickets for this match is by getting season tickets... so call 866-9-SOCCER and get them.... before they are all gone...

This is going to be a BIG thing... don't miss out!
