Good question. That doesn't make sense if they would have to do that. Come to think of it, I've been keeping the people over on the BS Real Madrid section informed on that latest news. This morning I posted this little snippet from the Trib. I'm sure that little detail doesn't excite anyone who is coming in from out of town.

Uncle Dave: Let's get a ticket-package together that is friendly to those coming in from out of town...

I have to think that Real Madrid has a certain number of tickets that they can sell/give away to their Socios?

Do they think the general public will buy the other 25,000 tickets?

If fewer than 20k seats remain, that would mean they have sold alittle over 25k. That's pretty good.

I believe the front office was hoping to sell 75% of the tickets before opening up to the public. They're pretty close right now, and they may hit their target still before they do open it up.

75% of 45,000 = 33,750.

That means they have over 8,000 to sell before Monday to hit their goal.

I believe the Galaxy required the purchase of four additional games. Uncle Dave is only asking for one. People who want to see Real Madrid won't mind buying one additional ticket.

Is it one or two? I know that it has been one, but it seems as though I heard that when they release the tickets to non-season ticket holders that they will need to buy two additional non-RM tickets.

Real Salt Lake will make tickets to its exhibition game against Real Madrid available to the general public starting at 10 a.m. Monday, the team said, as part of a three-game package that includes games to two other RSL games.

I have a few friends that were stalling on making a decision about whether or not to go.

I suspect that once they hear that they have to buy two additional games instead of the one game currently on offer, they might make up their minds before Monday.
