Hate to try and get this to a relevant point, but...

What size pitch can they get at LES? I'm worried we may be stuck with a 62 yrd width...ick...which will make for an ugly, ugly game.

That's what I was wondering. I'd take 70 x 120 if they can come up with the extra 25 feet on each side.

I believe LES used to have a track around the football field - definetely wider than RES, so field dimensions are not a problem.

I heard that you usually have to bring in dirt to raise the sides of the pitch so it is flat - football fields have a crown in the middle for drainage, or something like that. Would that be an issue?

I just talked to the people over at the stadium and they told me that a group of RSL people were over there a week ago looking at the field.

Although there is a small crown to the field, it shouldn't be a problem.

To think that Robinho, Roberto Carlos, Zidane, Ronaldo, Raul or Beckham could be in Utah keeps me from concentrating at work.
Although, realistically RM will bring their reserves. If that's the case, will the match even sell?

Come ON! It's not just any reserve team. It's REAL MADRID'S reserve team!!! 😉 I bet they bring Beckham. And Ronaldo. No other big names, however. I bet they start play a man or two down to start things off on an even footing. hehehehe
