By definition it seems to fit the bill.
Fair enough I was trying to inject some perspective is all...

Fuegote... I don't think anyone knows at this point!

I can absolutely guarantee that beer (or caffeinated Coke for that matter) won't be sold at any soccer game in LES. But let's all go and watch the match anyway. Just grab whatever you want at the convenience store on the way and discretely drink it in the parking lot.

Amusing posts on this one.

This is definitely a classic "only in Utah" thread.

LES is a good stadium with natural grass and the highest capacity in the state. It's within 50 miles of the regional airport, and hosts large events on a regular basis. I'm sure other sponsors can fill in for Big Beer. We have a winner.

And for the record, I'm a Ute fan who remembers when Cougar Stadium had 35,000 seats and a royal blue running track around the field. I know because I competed in track meets on it. It's a better facility now, and it will do just fine if it gets a major European team to play in Utah (prefer Barcelona, but I'll take one of those "Real" teams too).

I do appreciate the perspective, I was trying to do the same with my original post. We're talking about Real Madrid playing in Utah. I'd go watch it on the salt flats if that's were they decided to play. I just don't see any point in
b!tching about location.

Did you know that opaque plastic bicycle squeeze bottles improve the taste of White Zinfandel? Actually, pretty much anything would improve the taste of White Zinfandel.

The closest thing would be those late-90's rumors that the Galaxy was moving to the LA Coliseum.

Some of those threads almost blew up my computer.

Who's being intolerant of you expressing your opinion?

This is great news! I'll even drive down to Provo to see a great international match.

It is good news for RSL, because the team that is wearing red, usually wins in LES. ⚽
