Just heard on National Public Radio (KCPW 88.3 FM) A Local News brief about the Stadium and there was an interview with the Mayor of Murray trying to ease bad rumours of the type and amount of public funding that will be required.
The Mayor was selling it quite well... i thought.

Then another interviewee(I did not catch an affiliation) stated that there will need to be 16,000 seats per game filled in order for the team to survive.

Interesting tho...

The sales pitches are starting...
Bring it on.... let's build it

Last night at the Jazz game I did what my wife calls "the human billboard".

It paid off at the start of the 4th quarter as I headed back up the stairs to our seats. About row 7 a lady sees me in my replica, tugs on her hubbies sleeve, and points at me with a smile.

I gave back my "can't-wait-till-the-season-starts" look. Then I spent most of the 4th quarter thinking about how much more fun RSL matches will be.

Nice, Loyal1. Let's hope RSL doesn't meltdown every 2nd half like the Jazz do! I have also done the "human billboard" trick, and I've received thumbs up, knowing smiles, and even been stopped by people asking where they can buy RSL stuff. I think there is a pretty good buzz already. ๐Ÿ™‚

I've had the same type of experiences while playing RSL billboard. I think Real Salt Lake is going to do just fine.

Speaking of being a Human Billboard, here is a pic of my recent attempt at it. At no less than the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Florida.
Doesn't get much more international exposure than that.
PS Yes, thats my lovely wife and my cutie daughter as well.

Ah well, that link doesn't work, at least not for me.

I wore my RSL scarf out and about town, the other day and got one bite.

This isn't an RSL sighting, but an MLS sighting.

At the Walmart over here in the Wild West, Campbell's was giving out some kind of Freddy Adu CD along with free samples of soup.

The sample lady had a set of notes for when people asked her who Freddy Adu was.

The image that brings to my mind is rather funny. I'm sitting at my desk, chuckling away. Good start for the day. Thanks.

Well the first one worked. At least it worked, if it was supposed to be a picture of your family in front of the Walt Disney statue. The second one just goes to a search page.
