He just talked about the stadium for a minute and how they are still trying to get public money. He said the other MLS owners are waiting "minute-by-minute" to hear back from him (hopefully that means it will get done soon!). Then they talked about BYU and UofU football for a while ๐Ÿ˜  because DC runs that new college sports network. They did show some nice footage from last year's MLS campaign.

Like I once posted on the currently-nonfunctioning Bigsoccer, "What's College Sports Network going to show during the summer? University of Miami football players flunking their summer school classes?"

I suspect that part of why RSL exists is to give Uncle Dave some programming for the summer. So if Dave wants to give some love to CSN, I don't mind.

Checketts did cover a lot of things that we already know about.

But to me, the most interesting thing he mentioned is that he is on the board of IMG. If IMG is what I think it is, Checketts will have access to the agents of some of the biggest international stars around. In theory, Checketts can steer the Nowaks, Etcheverrys & Cienfuegos here & the Brancos & Hermosillos to Colorado........

I think you just nailed this one.

Hermosillo to Colorado . . . don't know if I'd wish that even on the CRapids.

This isn't an RSL sighting but it's an MLS sighting.

Last night I was flipping through channels and stopped on MTV2's "Advance Warning" in which the host, Jim Shearer I believe his name is, was wearing a Columbus Crew jersey (a cool one too). If MLS can get product on MTV, it instantly becomes cool. Anyway it was fun to see the Crew shirt on MTV2.

Yeah, the association with MTV worked out real well for the NFL. What's next, a Janet Jackson halftime show at MLS Cup '05?๐Ÿ˜‰

So here I am at work... listening to the scannners (part of my job) and 4 or 5 guys on the sheriff scanner are talking about getting tickets to the T&T game in addition to other games. Then one guy pipes in and says "come on guys get season tickets it guaruntees that you have the same good seats to every game."

I found it very entertaining... :D
