Hey Deuce good sighting on the Wes Ruff show. I've seen the giant banner too, I believe it's on the roof of an indoor soccer facility. I got the clings for MY Jeep at the Oct 9 announcement but Trey Fitz-Gerald says they are getting more clings and they should be available soon.

RSL got a mention in September's Utah Business.

That was cool...

I will take credit for this sighting. I gave Wes the shirt and hat on condition that it appear on set on a regular basis. It has been on the set, in various locations, every week since I gave it to him.

The other day I was at Costco and ran into a guy who moved here from Europe (he is African, but has a green card) with hopes of playing for RSL. I was wearing my hat and he asked me how I got it and what I had to do with the team. It was kind of cool to see a guy who had moved to Utah with the one purpose... playing for RSL. I hope things work out for him.

This isn't a sighting but a "listening", I suppose.

Did anyone else hear the RSL "sounds of the holidays" commercials? They are kind of cute.

I tried to create my own RSL sighting. Or at least an MLS sighting.

I handed out those MLS posters to the first & seconds graders I coach. (The posters that they were giving out at the expansion draft party.)

Both parents & kids alike were confused, but grateful. None of them had ever heard of any of the players, except for Freddy Adu. A few of the parents & children recognized The Freddy.

I don't think I caught a holiday theme but I did hear the Real Salt Lake season ticket ads several times on X96...

They pronounce the team name wrong which erks me to no end...
Some one needs to tell them it is Ray-al... NOT Ree-al...

but I suppose that counts as an RSL listening/hearing...

I heard the second half of that commercial too, but I think I heard it on KJQ. It might have been X96. Anyway now I keep listening for it (the first time I've listened to commercials in my life!)... they did say Ree-al but the commercial seemed very well made and produced, I liked the half I heard.

You probably are right about hearing it on KJQ... they are both owned by simmonds media so they will most likely have the same advertisers...

and for you country fans take heart cos simmonds media owns Eagle 1-0-whatever πŸ™„ too so you will probably hear them on there as well...

:D

You need to lighten up, a little. We're English Speaking, not Spanish speaking. If you hear two sylables, count that as a MAJOR win!πŸ˜‰

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to put this in, but have you all seen the new RSL t-shirt? I saw it at Fanzz in University Mall. It was red and said "REAL SALT LAKE" in block letters, above and below a new graphic I'd never seen before. It was pretty classy.
