Hey Steve, any chance the team will be putting out a video to purchase with highlights of our first year?

They had some good moments, although some might say they were few and far between. Things can only get better for RSL.

Fire Coach E!!! FIRE COACH E!!!!!! when does the www.firecoachellinger.com site get started?? How about getting a coach who will actually get off his a** when the team is playing like crap and losing, and actually try to shout some encouragment or at least show some emotion!! The Rapids coach at least was involved and acted like he cared! We deserve a coach with some passion!! Not someone who just sits on the bench and meekly watches.....We have the players, we just need someone to motivate and guide them. It's frustrating watching John sit there and do nothing.

Okay, I will take the bait and give a different point of view. It sounds like you just think that a coach has to stand up and yell and get upset to be a good coach. I don't think that is true at all. In fact I would rather have someone like Coach E who analyzes the game rationally and helps coach the players instead of yelling at them and belittling them. There is a reason that players want to play for Coach E. My guess would be that one reason is he coaches them and then lets them play without constantly berating them from the sideline. Will Coach E be a good MLS coach? I don't know. I think we need more than one year with an expansion side to decide that. I certainly don't think he should be accused of not caring just because he doesn't show a lot of emotion during the game. Hey, Ray, you seem to be able to show some emotion. Should you be the next coach? 🙂

This is just a plea:
Steve Pastorino has been very generous to offer this as a public forum. We are lucky as fans of a first division team to have such an open door. Let's try and be constructive. If you feel the need to express thoughts like the prior post, please do so in a constructive manner so that Steve will feel comfortable here and will continue to provide feedback. It is OK to be disappointed in results this year. It is also OK to ask whether players/coaches will be held responsible for their performance. It's probably not conducive for dialogue, however, to submit such vengeful commentary (even if we are all frustrated).

They were very happy to let that "highly involved" coach go 3 years ago.

I'm not saying he needs to belittle them, but at least shout some encouragment. Show he cares. Lead by example. It seems the last several games the team has played without alot of passion. And that starts at the top...
I'm also not trying to make this an uncomfortable place for Mr. Pastorino. I really appreciate his willingness to speak with the fans. Please forgive me! I'm just very upset over what has transpired. On paper the team is great! But why isn't it translating on the field??
