I think we should have a big cannon to fire when we score goals. I also think that huge confetti blasters located on the top of the stadium to shower us all in confetti would be cool.

Heh... they shot off the cannon right after the game was over last Saturday (you know, since we never like scored or anything) and it scared the snot out of everyone over where I sit.

Too funny, it scared the snot out of me too! It was my mom's first game, and she got really scared when they shot the cannon, it sounded like we were being attacked or something. lol

I happened to be watching the field and the look on Paul Mariner's face was priceless. I think he wondered if a bomb had gone off. I am still not sure why it was shot off...foolishness I guess.

3. Convince the folks who used to run the Greektown Grill at Crossroads to come back and run a concession. Better yet, convince a) Red/Blue Iguana; b) Squatters or Wasatch; c) Hires or Crown Burger. I'd love to be eating souvlaki and watching RSL. Or a Crown Burger Special.
4. Heated/air conditioned seats. Well, now I'm just getting silly. I'll have to think of some more later.
Ok... time to catch up on some messages. Thanks for the dialogue.

Re: Future stadium; I will absolutely solicit input from fans when the time comes to build our stadium. After all, it belongs to the fans, in my opinion. Doesn't mean we can do everything, but Red Iguana (much better than Blue), Hires and one of our local microbrews wouldn't be a bad start. For the record, I like the midfield tunnel (Bridgeview will have one), a building with real character, steeper seats, a roof over sideline seats (for rain and shade), a pub/restaurant/meeting place and our name or logo spelled out in the seats...

Unfortunately, it's probably a little late for Ogden to get in the running 🙂

Central American teams are definitely on our radar... with Gustavo's connection to Municipal, I wouldn't rule them out.

Although we lost to New England. Defense was awesome and we had control most of the game. The guys were looking tired by the end and it showed. Great putting in Tiger. He's got spark and should start sometime to see where just thinking out loud. :dancing:

I feel pretty strong about keeping the players and working on team building-I don't think REAL is at the point of a major overhaul!! It's our first season! Hey, I am here to stay through the thick and thin!!! (I am also a Red sox fan and see- that finally paid off!)
We have no intention of going 86 years between titles like the Sox... this year's results are tough enough to swallow - we can and will do better!

Yes, several RSL players have settled there... We just wish your wife's company had been more accomodating!

🙂

Thanks for the great discussion Steve. I hope all our dreams come true!
