Steve, can you tell us how far along is the design? If it's not too final, I might suggest having a look at the other thread called "things you'd like to see in the stadium" or something like that - there are some great ideas that might be worthy of consideration.

Thanks Steve.

Within a 370 days of introducing the team name, we're making concrete plans for a stadium - and that is a good thing.

I checked in here today to see what the fan reaction to this morning's articles. The broad range of opinions is what I expected. I will be sure to take a walk around the stadium tomorrow night to get some more instant feedback. I'll offer some more insight in the coming days.

Meantime, know that we need to beat Colorado for pride and the Rocky Mountain Cup. Then the process of bettering our team for 2006 begins in earnest. It will be an active off-season for us in every way. I'll be sure to keep you posted and/or respond to your questions, best I can.

Mostly I want to thank all of you for your support this year... I hope we can really deliver for you tomorrow on Fan Appreciation Day/Night.

Cheers,
Steve

Thanks Steve! I love RSL, in fact, we drive down to every game from Box Elder County. I have been really wanting the downtown stadium and was bummed to hear Sandy's name. But, through it all, i have come to one conclusion . . . i need to move to Sandy now. Thanks for the team, and we look forward to seeing the MLS cup trophy hoisted here next year!

My wife and I are looking for homes in Sandy, and after I told her where the stadium will be she's asked if I would like to focus our search in the surrounding area. 😁

I love my wife!

So are we, unofficially. Somewhere in Sandy/Draper, closer to DadOf8's place of bussiness

I think property values in Sandy just went up, too bad they didn't build it in Magna like I suggested.

Thanks Steve.

Steve told me that he is not aware of any blue prints yet. Just the mockups that have been around for months.

Another birdie told me that downtown may Never have happened it made all the cents in the world to do it in Sandy.

Did you intentionally mispell sense or is that a Freudian slip?

"If they're going to use Salt Palace expansion money to purchase land for the soccer stadium, I just think that's wrong and is contrary to the representations that were made to us and the deal that was made by Salt Lake City,"
-SLC Councilmember Buhler

Steve- As a resident of SLC, I'm very disappointed you chose to do it like this.

We made a good faith investment of hard earned personal and tax money and this is how we're treated? Lied to? Stolen from?

I'm very sad you chose to do business with such people. How are we supposed to feel?
