Good idea, montgjules is one of our more wild and disruptive posters. :D

Welcome aboard.

I play soccer recreationally (anyone interested in playing Saturday mornings starting in April-ish in Springville let me know -- lots of fun last year), and have been a French soccer league fan for quite some time (specifically Bordeaux, as well as the Nat. team). In fact, all of my Internet passwords are Bordeaux soccer related. Although my wife balked at the idea of naming our last son "Lilian", in honor of Bdx. forward Lilian Laslandes.

Planning on attending at least 8 RSL matches this season. Goal is to get the family excited enough about it to be able to be a season ticket holder next season.

I've been meaning to harass Nick for a long time about why he hasn't showed up here. Nick was one of my husband's friends back in high school and has been a serious soccer fan a lot longer than I have. What he didn't tell you is that he has an incredibly sweet wife and two darling and very precocious children. I think his daughter would make an excellent little soccer player; she has always been very healthy, strong and tall--a natural athlete. How about we start a toddler's league to play after the adults are done playing? Then I can persuade my husband to come play soccer with you... that would be fun.

You're dead-on with that. My 3-year-old daughter can already beat me one-on-one. And my 10-month-old son head-butts me all the time. I figure either he's pretending my head is a ball, or he's destined for controversy in the EPL. Either way, I'm so proud of him.

Welcome to the forum Nick. I too have a almost 3 year old daughter. I am wondering if I should enroll her in a soccer academy soon. If Adu can do it...

Hi guys and girls! I live in Kaysville with hubby and 3 boys. We haven't bought our season tix yet but plan on it next month (hope there's plenty left)
We plan on taking the kids to the games so we can get 'em hooked early! I really wasn't a huge soccer fan until my kids started playing and my hubby got Fox World. Now I can't tear myself away! (GO RED DEVILS!) We are sooo excited about RSL!!!! I can't wait!!!
Oh and montgjules....break out the wild side sweetie!! I'm right there with ya!

Her wild side is temporarily on hold, but I'm sure she'll be back in form eventually. In the meantime, welcome!

Anyone who thinks being willing to have children (especially twins...) isn't wild should see the size of belly. My husband stares at me every day in awe and fascination.

... all right, I'm a walking freak show! It IS wild! :D
