Hello! Hi everyone! My name is Mike. I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.
I'm actually not new to this forum. I signed up about a year or two ago, but I have not been on in a REALLY long time. I live in Park City now, even though I am not originally from Utah. Most of my family is from Italy and Argentina. I love futbol!!!! My teams are Roma, Belgrano, and River Plate!! I was wondering if there are any other fellow Argentines here who support RSL? I am looking for some people to sit with at the matches this year, and I am also thinking about joining a support group. What are the differences from the RBG and The Loyalists? Would you guys like some help supporting RSL? Well, I would love to meet all of you, so leave me a message sometime! Take care and hugs to all!! Chau, Mike

Try out the Loyalists and the RCB, then you know which one fits for you. There are several Roma fans in the lyaolists (including me Forza Roma!). Hope to see you at a game.

Haha, nope, I don't have an relatives that live in Utah, besides my parents and my sister. Actually it's pretty common to find many Italian-Argentinians, because at least 70% or more of the people who live in Argentina are of some sort of European decent............the two biggest contries being Spain and Italy. There was a large number of Italians immigrating to Argentina during WWII. In my family, a large number immigrated from Italy to Canada, and a number of others in my family immigrated to Argentina. Tell me more about about this Ariel, hehehehe!๐ณ

First of all, Ariel is a man's name.. in case that wasn't clear... ha ha..
Secondly, his brother-in-law is an Argentine of German descent. So I can tell there is a lot of interesting genealogy over there. Thirdly, I hear the beef there is excellent. :-) That is all.

To answer the question about the differences between RCB and the Loyalists, the easiest way to answer is to give movie ratings. The Loyalists try to keep things at about a PG level. They are more family oriented and try to keep things like language more on that sort of level. They are still into the match and still give great support, but they do try to keep it a lot more clean than RCB.
RCB would be more of a hard R level. If you don't like "harsh" language like the f-word, then you probably should not hang with us. Also there tends to be beverages at our tailgates. If that's what you're looking for, let me know and I can give you more details.

Thanks everyone for their answers on my post!
Well Donk, I must be honest with you........I am ALOT more interested in joining you and the RCB, than the Loyalists. In my opinion, soccer should not be fully a family event..........and I'm not saying that adults shouldn't bring their kids......but in sports, fans should be allowed to shout and swear and everything like that. I've witnessed at RSL and other sporting events here in Utah, fans telling other fans to sit down and be quiet when they are jumping up and down and supporting the team. In Argentina, there is so much jumping up and down and shouting and swearing, that if you told a fan to sit down, you would be laughed at, or even worse. People of all ages go to the matches, and everyone is excited to watch the match, and they know that yelling and supporting is a part of the game. Also, drinking and getting together with friends is a big part of the game. I am alomst 22 years old, I am Catholic, not LDS, and I drink (my favorite is Fernet and Coke!!) and I swear, and I love soccer, and those things are apart of my version of soccer! Please send me some more information about joining the RCB, and look forward to being a part of the support group! What kinds of people do you have in your group? Take care everyone!

http://www.cavaliersbrigade.com The forums are fairly active. Also, and Bardguy back me up, the paypal works for membership dues if you want to join up. Our tailgates are in the middle of the RES west parking lot you are more than welcome to join us. Keep checking the forums for more details on times and things, but we usually get there a couple of hours early to get prepared with liquid courage before the match. You don't have to drink, we have members who don't but if you want to, it's there. We stand in section E38 during matches.

It works just fine. Like the loyalists, your initial membership dues will get you some sweet swag...take your pick of either a scarf or a shirt. __________________
