We just haven't looked interested in this one from the opening whistle. Sure, we should have had a PK, but we also should have been pounding on their goal.

Everyone kept saying this was Honduras' World Cup since they didn't make it to the hexagonal for a chance at the real thing. They seem to want it, that's for sure.

If we're going to blow a game, better this one than a qualifier. Should have known we'd play like this the day we're named #6 in the world. Can't stand success.

Arena gets red carded, Pope gets hurt. Not much good to say about this one.

And are there any USA soccer supporters in the Greater New York Metropolitan area?

And O'Brien scores in the 40th minute for 1-1.

We could be at this for awhile, with overtime just around the corner.

We don't deserve it, but we'll take it. Onyewu makes it 2-1 USA.

And it's over. On to the final.

i was at this game, the crowd energy in the USA section was quite a suprise to me, since as i entered the arena i saw nothing but hondurian flags, with a few columbian ones mixed in.. Although we were definetely outnumbered by hondurians, we went crazy none the less. In fact after a missed oppourtunity that made me scream in disappointment, a hondorian fan, in the US section, had the nerve to tell me to shutup. HA. ..We almost felt like the visitors since all of the stadium but one section was white with a little intersperced yellow. But after the two goals you couldnt even notice the rest of the stadium, we didnt stop singing for half at least half an hour after the match was over (one complaint i do have is that even though this section was reserved for USA fans, an usher came by and checked ticket stubs since a columbian woman had somehow bought tickets for this section, and he kicked everybody out, they of course immediately returned but still) Too bad i cant make the final this sunday...after this i really cant wait til i can get out to utah and join the fans in cheering against the CHEETOS.....GO USA

Got home from work in time to see the closing minutes including both US goals. Honduras has been a challenging opponent for us the last few years. Glad to have them out of the way.

Sounds like tough officiating. They were ripping the officials on the BS thread, I watched a few astoudingly questionable calls during the few minutes I watched, and Bruce Arena got ejected (so he won't be on the sidelines in the final). Not like we haven't seen strange officiating in CONCACAF before however.

Later, Panama proved their win a few weeks ago over Colombia was no fluke as they did it again.

USA-Panama in the final on Sunday. Who'd have thought?

How great would it be to trade Leighton O'Brien for John O'Brien?

They actually separated the fans? When the US plays in the LA Coliseum, the LAPD officers just stand there and laugh when the "visiting" fans assault US fans.

But I think that there were a couple of Honduran fans supporting the US for the WCQ against Costa Rica. So they aren't all bad.

Way to represent the USA, Willy!

it wasnt a forced seperation, but section 101 had been designated the USA fan section, much like the loyalists have 32, but once the game started most US fans throughout the stadium migrated here.

The fans were respectful of one another for the most part, at least no fights or anything of that sort, just the expected taunting and what not. When we were down 1-0 many chants were directed at our part of the stadium, in which a chant was started in reply, to the tune of "if your happy and you know it", it was "if your going to the world cup clap your hands"
