In case you missed it, according to Bordy, Ellinger said on the 1280 AM radio this morning that Gregorio and Cabrera were coming and it would be before the Aug. 15 transfer window.

Thanks for the update--I hadn't heard the news.

Maybe by August 6th?

Coach E seemed to indicate that they would be available on or right after July 31st. Something to do with a method the Chivas used, and so RSL leveraged the same method in acquiring these two.

And just in time to play cheetos.

Symmetry.

Guatemala 1 South Africa 1.

Guatemala is out & Cabrera can start with RSL, Transfer Window legalities pending.

Mexico 1 Jamaica 0. I did not watch the whole thing, but Jamaica looked very compact when I was watching the game.

Mexico did what they needed to do which was get out of the game with no injuries or cards. (I don't think they picked up any cards, but I did not see all of the game.)

But for US fans, the most worrisome thing about the game was Jamaica. (The team we play in the quarterfinals). The last time I saw Jamaica play so well was in 1997, when we needed a questionable penalty to salvage a tie against them in RFK.

Borgetti got his second yellow card. He'll miss next match against Colombia.

About Jamaica... the only good thing about them was, that I got to see Andy and Damani Ralph...
:afro:

I did not see that yellow, KC. Thanks for the news.

Borgetti to Bolton? That's a strange combination. Not bad, just strange.

Presumably, he'll work cheap, too.

La Opinion says that the guy who scored Cuba's goal against Canada has defected.

Don't Cuban defectors get automatic permanent resident status?

Let's sign him up!
