Listen to 1280

Thanks for posting the radio section Remus.
Something about a sports DJ that says repeatedly that he only talks about soccer because there are 15k (which is wrong, its higher) but that he personally hates it, bothers me.
First off they didn't even give Glenn 2 seconds to talk. So that sucked. Graham called out the Loyalists for the ever so boring past (which we weren't involved in) and then goes off about the streamers/non-scoring run. Who cares? Isn't there about 500 other things that RSL and MLS are about that they can talk about?
Anyway, just kind pissed me off.
And who is the person saying that they represent the Loyalists and that we aren't going to listen to their station any more? Nice to know anyone can speak for the entire group...

That was me and I already got chewed out for it. I have apologized and I will once again apologize to the Loyalists. The thing is; I know radio stations take stuff like that seriously and if they did do something to seriously irk us, I think we all would stop listening. They kind of laughed it off because I said it was 200 people. But that's 200 people that aren't going to hear your sponsor's ads. Again, I apologize for speaking on behalf of the Loyalists, it was not my place.

I should also mention, they didn't read my entire letter on the air. He only picked out the pieces that he wanted to read.

Ok, thats cool Dadof8. Just its comments like that, even if they are taken out of context, make the Loyalists look rather foolish.

Well, I should have taken my own advice and not written something while I was angry. That was my first mistake. My second mistake was over-reacting to the situation. Just for the record, I think I may have brought in two new Loyalists this week, so I hope that makes up for it.

mrstucki and I also wrote in and included the fact that there was not going to be any type of boycott on the station from the Loyalists. If you listen closely to the first email (from mrstucki) he mentions it, to a degree - though misreads a word or two. He skips over the part where I mentioned it entirely, but they're aware.

I just got done listening to Ryan Hatch's interview of Paul Broome. It sound like he didn't fit L.A.'s philosophy. He's coming off an ankle injury. He also said that he's always been on playoff teams and he thinks RSL is a playoff team. I think he will make a difference for good.

Wasn't Broome on the 2003 Burn?

So in other words, Paul did not embrace the position? Maybe he didn't know the word of the day?

Well, Harkes had a few good years (albeit on bad teams) after Sampson ran him out & Lalas won a US Open Cup, an MLS Cup and a CONCACAF Champions Cup after getting into Sampson's Dog House.

Can I ask a favor? I would appreciate all 1280 related posts entered in the "Listen to 1280" thread. That's the only subscription I have set to Instant Notification. That way, if someone hears that something's going down on 1280, and posts there, I can find out about instantaneously, and check it out.
