Not to mention you aren't factoring that you have no idea what kind of energy drink they were given before, during, and even after the match. It is important to know what energy drink they were given after the match because, as everyone knows, energy drinks are key to quick recovery and that means better play in the next game. Now mixing two different drinks at any phase can just throw this all way off.

Seriously.....some of the **** I read on here makes me feel dumber for even having this site as a bookmark.

Since his goal in the World Cup New England has been a team that has only won four games... that goal in the world cup was nearly 3 months ago...

4 wins in three months would garner a shiny new "fire everybody" thread around here...

Thing is, it is hard to infer from this that it is due to the Eastern Conference somehow being of worse overall quality. It is possible that DC United has a greater difference in the motivation they bring to within-conference games versus out of conference games.
I agree with your statement! Each match within-conference could effectively be worth 6 points (3 points for you, while keeping your conference foe from getting 3). Now, if we were looking at the Supporter's Shield, out of conference matches are just as important. Unfortunately in the US of A, position in the playoffs and ultimately the Championship match is looked on more than the overall best record.
