The Davis site that is being thrown around is North Salt Lake. Its a couple minutes from downtown.

An extra political archive! Utah Jazz owner Larry H. Miller's interview with KSL's Doug Wright. Miller spoke about his opinion regarding RSL and Dave Checkett's recent comments. After Miller left the RSL conversation continued with Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson.

How the FART does he know this? LHM does realize that there are those who can help with private funding outside of himself right?

Gist of Checkett's interview:

This is a dysfunctional governmental mess.

His goal with RSL is to make SLC a player in the global soccer community. This was a labor of love.

SLC council has been so indecisive. What kind of govt. says, "Bring me something I like."

This is about economic development.

He promised Govt. Huntsman not to make any rash decisions in the next week.

We have a 9 member council plus a mayor governing. It is a roadblock to getting things done.

How are we ever going to do business here with this dysfunction?

These people are supposed to be working for us.

He talks about how the state developed the land for the Delta Center and basically gifted LHM the Bees' stadium.

According to Checketts, LHM lobbied and called state legislators and encouraged them to vote against the TRT against the stadium. He lobbied mayors of several Salt Lake cities where the stadium was going.

He called LHM's office and asked his secretary to have LHM to call him. He never heard from him.

Checkett's held a meeting with the SLC hotel people to explain why TRT was a wise way to go. Govt. Huntsman personally invited LHM to the meeting to no avail.

Any notion to say that LHM supported this is very insincere.

"If we don't have a solution by Aug. 12 RSL may be gone."

Checketts on The Big Show - "It's Personal"

Dave Checketts continued his media blitz with a laid back conversation on 1280 The Zone's Big Show. Checkett's puts it all out in the open regarding his relationship with Larry H. Miller. He again reiterates the death date: August 12th.
