agreed Nolly looked good, but he made some fumbles he shouldn't have ... lack of confidence maybe? or maybe just nerves playing aginst real. One thing i did like about Nolly though was that even if he didn't catch the ball and it went back out into the box to one of their players he was quick back to his feet, which garlick often isn't.

I have no confidence in garlick on 1v1 situations anymore. He commits too early then doesn't get back up quick enough.

Real Madrid vs. Real Salt Lake Audio Archive

Complete audio archives of KALL 700's coverage of the historic Xango Cup. I'm too tired to do a full blown write-up for these, so here they are:

Pregame show, with lots of stadium talk here.

Actual game audio, with Dean Howes stadium halftime interview here.
Dial-up users beware! It's a 31MB download.

Postgame show with fan phone calls and such here.

iTunes podcast feed here

generic podcatcher rss feed here

What would be really nice is if the FO could make the match availalbe, with bonuses, on dvd for the fans. I would like to see interviews, groundbreaking, and have different audio tracks for the match: the tv feed, the radio show, and a Spanish commentary.

I thought we looked GREAT in the 1st half. I wish we always played that well and with that much passion!

yea, you could tell how well we were playing by how frustrated madrid were getting ... aka the fouls in midfield.

for the 100t time I HAVE ATTIBA. There was a collective SIGH throughthe section i was sitting when they anounced him in. EVERYONE knows he going to do something stupid everytime he gets in. Put in Watson instead, he's faster and tries harder.

You guys come on... No one likes Atiba, fine. But coach has a reason to put him in. So, whatever. I think Atiba has a lot of heart, just as much as Jamie. And Jamie does some more stupid stuff than Atiba does. Why do you think he gets punched in the face? You really can't say that Jamie is faster either because Jamie doesn't always make smart runs so they become useless. So basically what I'm saying is although I love these guys to death, we need more depth in the forward position.

TayTay, I tried to get my wife and some of the women further back in E32 to start a "Besagno is cuter!" chant when Beckham came by. It would sound a little funny if I started that chant.

But it didn't catch on.

Does anyone else here think that we were one Daniel Torres or maybe Paul Broome away from a tie or maybe even a win? Probably not. Real Madrid was a Ronaldo away from 4-0. But it's fun to think about.

i'm not sure about being a torres away from the draw ... second goal our whole defence was just beaten on speed.

As for chanting ... Glen tried to start a "hey nicky you're so fine chant" so you weren't alone there lol =/

As for Tiba Vs. Watson - I've not really seen a lot of Watson to comment on his play which is why i want to see more of him playing. I know for a fact i don't want to see more of Tiba. He gives away too many stupid fouls. Hell i don't play upfront, but i will play for free for RSL, just to get Tiba off the pitch .... yea yea i know wishful thinking =p
