So i'm assuming it was an awesome game to watch then? (i mean besides the fact that we won)... but what i mean is did we play well as far as passing and stuff? Its kinda hard to get a feel for that when you just follow the match by the Match Tracker...

Much more control in the midfield. Not a lot of long over head passing.

Oh thank goodness!! I was definately getting sick of the kick and run thing. Glad they finally figured out how to play soccer the way it should be played!

I don't know... weren't all 3 goals tonight off long balls?

It was really weird to watch them actually keeping possession... passing the ball to each other to make slowly, steady progress in the right direction... as opposed to kicking the ball halfway across the field to the other team. Repeatedly. They had great chemistry in the second half, which is all I saw tonight. And more importantly... the ball "bounced our way" more than once.

But for me, I gotta hand it to Garlick for this one. Several amazing saves which kept the team's confidence high. You know how RSL gets after the other team scores. Perhaps the only way for this team to win will be with the clean sheet.

Go RSL!

I think there's plenty of praise to go around, but my MOTM vote will be for Carey Talley.

I've never been a Talley fan, going back to his time with DC. But he was the key today, allowing Medhi to roam and generate chances.

Cutler did well as a wing midfielder and the no name defense of Torres/Forko/Novak/Akwari did as well as any back four RSL has fielded.

Kreis and Klein actually had off games, but their work rate means they still make things happen for the team.

Congratulations as well to all the "watch partiers," who finally had something to cheer about at the end of a game.

And how fun was it to listen as Bretos and Hopkins slowly realized the Galaxy were overmatched and outplayed?

IIRC, long through balls, but not over head hail Marys. I'll have to check again, but that is the overall feeling I got watching the match.

My biggest laugh was to hear them talking up Sampson's bad luck and stuff almost as though they were making a point to try to address the "Fire Sampson" issue without admitting it existed.
