I hate to say it but all indications point to Ching and wolff underperforming.

Does anyone remember Wolff doing anything besides underperforming for the USMNT?

Dempsey is another guy I think will be headed to Europe after the World Cup (assuming he gets a chance to get on the field).

For some, it just goes without saying that they'll most likely have a great WC:

Kasey Keller
Eddie Lewis
Oguchi Onyewu
Eddie Pope
DaMarcus Beasley
Clint Dempsey
Landon Donovan
Pablo Mastroeni
Ben Olsen
Eddie Johnson

to mention a few. I wouldn't be surprised if other European teams approach LD after this WC...

Now that's longevity!

Dempsey to Europe??? Why would he want to do that?!??! Maybe because he is grossly underpaid:

M Dempsey, Clint $75,863 $86,488

Some players with similar salaries:

D Namoff, Bryan $80,000 $83,750
M Thorrington, John $85,000 $91,250
D Llamosa, Carlos $80,000 $80,000
F Kljestan, Sacha $45,000 $78,000
M Martino, Kyle $81,675 $84,175
M Beckerman, Kyle $75,000 $78,750
GK Sala, Dario $90,000 $90,000
F Mina, Roberto $80,000 $80,000
M Davis, Brad $77,500 $82,500
M Saragosa, Marcelo $84,000 $86,500
M Nagamura, Paulo $85,000 $85,000
F-M Noonan, Pat $78,717 $89,342
M-F Brown, Chris $80,000 $82,500

Some good players in there.. but anyone at Dempsey's level? I think we'd take Dempsey for Brown any day of the week (and Coach E would turn him into a right back.)

I won't even bother to list the crappy players with much higher salaries because they are well-documented and too many to list.

I don't know why but I think that we have a great advantage of having a coach who is leading his team into his second consecutive WC.

Defenders (8): Carlos Bocanegra (2006), Steve Cherundolo (2002, 2006), Jimmy Conrad (2006), Cory Gibbs (2006), Frankie Hejduk (1998, 2002, 2006), Eddie Lewis (2002, 2006), Oguchi Onyewu (2006), Eddie Pope (1998, 2002, 2006)

Forwards (4): Brian Ching (2006), Eddie Johnson (2006), Brian McBride (1998, 2002, 2006), Josh Wolff (2002, 2006)
A couple of interesting observations. Surprised by how well represented MLS is, especially in the mid-field and among forwards. However, defense is almost all dominated by overseas boys, which is a good thing.

Another player who will get a fat contract by a pretigious European side after this WC is the Gooch, Oguchi Onyewu.

From this list, we can see the fruits of Bradenton Academy. Convey, LD and Beas were all in the initial class of the Bradenton Academy. Together they helped lead the Under-17 Squad to finish fourth in the 1999 U-17 World Cup in New Zealand.
