Not really. Matt Rreis faced 8 less shots but let in 19 less goals. It's as simple as more shots = more goals. __________________

Does anyone know what happened? It should at least be started by now. I didn't look too hard, but couldn't find a report on it anywhere. Could someone point me to a report?

Not sure where they got thier information but this was just posted on the MLS website:
11/16/2005 5:51PM Teams pass on waived players By Jonathan Nierman / MLSnet.com Staff All 12 Major League Soccer teams chose not to make any selections in a waiver draft held via teleconference on Wednesday, one day after 49 players were released from their respective clubs. Per MLS waiver regulations, each club will retain the rights to the players that it waived on Tuesday for the next 12 months. All clubs are now left with several holes in their 28-man rosters. Those holes will start to be filled after the FIFA international transfer window opens on Jan. 1. The transfer window is set to close on March 1, which coincides with the MLS roster and salary budget compliance date for the 2006 season. On that date, all MLS teams must consist of no more than 18 senior roster players, 10 developmental roster players and four senior international players. MLS will hold its annual Player Combine on Jan. 12-15 at The Home Depot Center in Carson Calif. The 2006 MLS SuperDraft will follow on Jan. 20 in Philadelphia, held in conjunction with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America conference.

Ya, it's getting to the point where no one takes anyone in the waiver draft. Gotta wonder if it's worth having or at least in a need of an overhaul.

So does this mean DJ stays and gets another chance?

Does anyone else see that the team structure has changed somewhat?
it looks like the teams went from 28 to 32 players allowed. Am I reading that correctly?

There is obviously still hope for him. MLS expands to a possible 14 teams in 2007. that means that 6 more GK's will be needed in the league in 2007. There will also be retirements, european moves and drafts but he can get back in if he applies himself in the meantime. He has talent... but he may just need to hone his skills for a year or two in the lower leagues... We will see him again in MLS for sure. Last edited by Deuce : 11-16-2005 at 04:30 PM.
