Waiver Draft

Wow. I 'm surprised no one posted this yet. Or did I miss it.

Anyway, RSL's placed 5 on waivers with the "suprise" being DJ.

See, I'm tellin' ya people, DJ can't cut in the MLS. He's had plenty of chances and plenty of experience. Time to find a GK that do the job.

Hmmm ... that really doesn't look like a great selection for the draft does it?

I was pretty impressed by Nkong from Colorado...rumor has it that this is a cost cutting move for them, they want to resign him.

I think he and Tarley, with some help from Jamie, could be very dangerous and allow us to play more effective long balls.

DJ played pretty well, IMO, considering the swiss cheese defense in front of him. I know he had a bad record in Dallas, but that team sucked harder than Tracii Lords too. Can you say -------> SCAPEGOAT

Would they waive DJ without having somebody else (Better) lined up? Seems risky, so ....

DJ is gone because he's young like Nolly & RSL doesn't need two young keepers. If the rumors are true re: Garlick I think this is a good move. Nolly is the future of this franchise in goal - what he needs is a mentor and that's what Garlick is. Now you have youth & experience in the nets where before you had youth & youth.

Rusty Pierce was waived several months ago - this just makes it official. He's a good player, probably RSL's 2nd best defender, but it's hard to justify keeping a guy who makes $70,000 who's always hurt.

After all the work DJ has put into his foundation, that's really disappointing. I'm a little upset.
