Have you, KC?

Their fans understand that it's just a minor detail they have to put up with so their club can make more money.
True enough, and the FB season won't overlap all that much anyway, although 'without lines' would definitely be the preferred option. Are local FB teams really going to be clamoring to play in our SSS? Don't we have enough FB venues for them to play in already?

It was only small (like 17000 cap with something like only 2000 seats for away supporters) and the seats were right on the field. We had some great fans and when you're that close to the pitch with the whole crowd singing its easy to intimidate the opposition.

As for not being able to see well ... when i went i was part of the young saints, their kids club. All the young saints would sit in 1-2 blocks with a load of adults at the back of the block watching them to make sure nothing happened. Even though i was around row 6 and almost right in the corner we were still able to easily watch ... only problem being that we were in the corner so when the ball was down the other end of the pitch it wasn't too easy to see.

Basically the view difference isn't too noticable but the intimidation from the fans singing 6 feet from the edge of the pitch was awesome ... so many games were won because of that.

xlite! Had I known there was a Saints fan in Utah I would've boguht you a pint! Have you been to the new St. Mary's yet?

i went for a work party ... does that count? lol. last year or two i was in england i was more into playing than watching so didn't stopped buying season tickets and just watched on sky sports ... dad still has a season ticket though. However looking at the state of things here ... doesn't seem many teams that i can find so its back to watching.

AMEN! When I saw the picture they were handing out at the last match of the "future stadium", I almost puked when I saw cheerleaders on the sidelines. Cheerleaders are for sports such as football and basketball where there is constant stoppages between plays, for time outs, etc. Soccer is two 45+ minute halves of pure action. I don't need anything else to keep me entertained.

If we have a corporate sponsor that we name the stadium after, it better be something that sounds good. Totally Awesome Computers? OK, but Super Dale is Super Annoying. Do we really want him representing us? Don't get a fast food sponsor. Something about Pizza Hut Park sounds really lame. I do like the Home Depot Center, though. It brings to mind images of guys working hard/toughness - something I wish our players had more of.

Don't deny it: it's going to be the Larry H. Miller stadium.

How about "Mormon Stadium"? The Church IS the largest financial entity here in Utah, is based in Utah, and does invest in private ventures...

😁

Too bad blood between Dave and Larry to make that very likely. I'm sure Larry will be happy to have lots of soccer fans purchasing bland food at the Mayan before and after matches, but will be surprised if his name is on the stadium.

Hee, hee!

UNAM Pumas' most violent supporters group has threatened violence if America de Mexico plays a home game there.

Pointyball is OK, but we're burning the place down if Amierdica shows up......
