I love the hotel at Upton Park, every room has a view of the pitch.

If you build it, they will come.

I welcome Sandy! A one block Salt Lake site could never provide the ancilary needs of a soccer stadium, parking at the top of the list. The "Downtown Experiance" will happen in Sandy (even better than SLC). Why? Because Sandy has the space for development and the kind of Family Friendly retail businesses, that complement a stadium, already there!

There is open land to the South and West such as the Becton-Dickenson Campus and sites nearby, and plenty of recyclable residential and business lots all around.

My design for the Stadium (which I drew up last Christmas) provides the way to get your desires. I hope it gets attention.

Does anyone remember the, um, Between Innings Entertainment at a Bluejays game at Skydome a few years ago?

Back on topic, all we need is:

-A roof over the seating sections. (It will pay for itself in a few years as more people buy tickets for games on days with weather that's too hot or rainy.)

-Buck A Brat night!

-Changing tables.

Best comment I've seen so far. Lots of hurt feelings and politics making the situation look bad (I won't express my own political viewpoints here, you'll either agree or disagree with me and I prefer look upon ALL members of this forum as fellow soccer fans), but the bottom line is the soccer stadium is on the way. Some people are understandably upset about the process of selecting the site, but we should be overjoyed to have a SSS on the way during our first season (while other MLS franchises a decade old don't have one on the way yet.)
I am confident that all of us will be there when the new stadium opens.

In a few years we'll have a stadium with great sight lines, a full sized pitch, no pointy-ball lines, cold refreshing beverages for those who like to enjoy a pint at the match, no more schedule changes made to accomodate the Ute schedule, and the team will enjoy healthier revenues from concessions and ticket sales.

Now let's put aside all the bitterness and show up tonight and cheer for RSL to win the Rocky Mountain Cup.
