Ok here is something RSL SHOULDN'T do with their new stadium.

Allow HS Football games there AND leave the football lines on the field.

I read in the Dallas paper that PHP had their first HS Football game last week and the football lines were visable during the Crapids-Dallas match last Saturday.

... Pizza Hut Park hosted its first high school football game a week ago – the only one scheduled before the Nov. 13 MLS Cup. The football lines are visible, but club officials say they won't be by the title match. ...

In their OWN stadium? What happened to "Soccer-Specific-Stadium"?
I understand that sharing the venue with others increases revenue, but soccer should still be the most important aspect of the stadium. NO FOOTBALL LINES, EVER!

Spence Checkkets actually mentioned having football games at the Real stadium as well during the post game show on wednesday.

I am not against football or it being played in MLS stadiums.
I am against football lines being down during a MLS game.
Thats unacceptable.
It makes me think "whats the point of having their own stadium".
Just for better dates?

Great point. I love RES, but I "hat" seeing the football lines down during the matches (I love the big red U though 😉)

Dear FO....no football lines during matches please.

I have heard a few Utah football fans whining about the soccer lines on "their field".

And the opportunity to retain revenue and not have to pay rent. Those are pretty big reasons - in fact, I think they're the primary reason MLS has mandated that these teams build their own stadium.

The only HS footbal games that would be played there are State playoffs and finals. RSL's season is currently over, HS football season is not. There will not be a conflict.

I've never heard a UANL Tigres or UNAM Pumas fan complain about football lines.

Have you, KC?

Their fans understand that it's just a minor detail they have to put up with so their club can make more money.
