And therein lies the difficulty with comparing scores. As a Utah fan I wasn't pleased with the loss to TCU, but mainly because we blew a lead and then the offense hit a wall. The conditions (heat/humidity) had much to do with that, but the inability to put a team away is the big concern. The win over Air Force was a better performance, although once again we made it exciting in the end when it shouldn't have been that way.

But BYU lost a home game despite being firmly in control, lost a bunch of starters to injury, and dropped to 1-2 (0-1 in conference) without even playing on the road.

So the conditions were different enough that we can come to very different conclusions about the results.

That's a big "if." Great to have a positive outlook, but the Y is headed into a road stretch and now's not the time for multiple injuries. The offense should be able to put enough on the board to beat the Aztecs, but defense is still a huge question mark the rest of the way. And then there's New Mexico, CSU, and Notre Dame.

Bottom line--we'll learn much about BYU in the next four weeks, while the toughest part of Utah's remaining schedule should be the last three games (Wyo, Lobos, Y).

Utah only managed 20 points against TCU, BYU 50.

Wo Tiger, settle down. I just asked where he was. I don't think that is getting into someones "Grill"

You quoted my post so I assume you read it. Just asked where Dysko was. I don't think I was comparing numbers. So he can dish it out but can't take it. OK that makes sense.

Are you related to Curtis Brown? Is this a moral victory. You put up a lot of yards and you still lost. You were up by 18 in the 3rd quarter at home with a second string quarterback at the helm of the opposing team.

You are right I guess I shouldn't be in his grill. You won, you had more yards.

I think at the end of the year it is the team with the most wins the wins the conference not the team with the most yards.

Then again I could be wrong. Maybe it is the team with the most moral victories.

Back to the Glory days....Man it feels good!!!!

Oh they are obviously not that good this year. I didn't see the Tulsa game but they did win 31-15. The last half of the 4th quarter must have been really one-sided in OU's favor.
SMU has been beaten by Baylor and Texas A&M (probably they're better than OU) already. The A&M score was 66-8. Anyway I bet TCU did not take SMU seriously after beating OU.

After Tulsa cut the lead to 2 pts, Oklahoma scored on their next possession, and then later ran back an interception for a TD on the last play of the game.

Yeah I read your post, the question is did you read it? 'cause you did a little more then just ask where he was. You called him out. "What do you have to say now?" That's cool it's all good fun. Just getting a rise out of the Utah fans.

What does a second string quarterback have to do with anything? Have the Ute fans forgotten Alex Smith started the '03 season riding the pine behind Elliot? Elliot breaking his hand on the last play against Texas A & M was the best thing to happen to Utah Football - forget Urban Meyer.

I also fixed your post. You assumed I'm a cougar fan :slobber:... Genius!

Yeah, if by glory days you mean back to the Utes of old with their conservative calls on offense. Did they bring back Mac, Ver Steeg Or even Tommy Lee? Playing not to lose - that's the Utah way.

LOL! Silly rabbit, glory days are for cougars. I go by wins and losses right now. And right now, the Utes are 3-1 while the cougs are 1-2. The cougs haven't beat a D1 school for quite some time now.

I guess you're right, if you look at the grand scheme of things the Utes don't really have glory days. They just have a glory day.

at least the day is still here, I'm still living in it. I'm still enjoying it. It wasn't when I was 8.
