Considering that N.E. will be missing 3 of their starters and considering that they play most their matches at sea level and now they'll be at altitude, and considering that they're not used to playing on artificial turf, and considering that RSL fans are rabid and will be rocking Rice-Eccles, I think RSL has a pretty good chance of getting 3 points out of N.E. Hey, Chivas beat the Revs, so why can't RSL?

True.
Only with Twellman, Ralston and Dempsey out do we have chance against them. They are a great team.

They might play a 4-5-1 with Noonan up top, but most likely they will have either Smith or Edozien up with Noonan. I think even RSL's defense can handle the Revs B-team forwards.

Hopefully we will pull a "Dallas" and smoke them 3-0.

Without Twellman, Clint and Ralston I think they're going to look very uncreative. Double team Noonan and, knock on wood, we've got ourselves another clean sheet.

That's what just about everyone said before we played (then) Western Division leading FCD on 23 July.

After last night's game it's tough to be optimistic. But we always have a chance, and if we are going to beat a team like New England, we'll not get a better opportunity.

New England midfielder Clint Dempsey and goalkeeper Matt Reis were sent back to the Revolution, who play Saturday night at Salt Lake City. Chicago midfielder Justin Mapp will be with the Fire for Sunday's game at Los Angeles. Dallas defender Greg Vanney heads back to play on Saturday at home against San Jose. Columbus defender Chad Marshall rejoins the Crew for a road game Saturday at Chivas USA.

Looks like Dempsey and Reis will both be back for the game on Saturday.

This should be our strongest line up our team has to offer... some will argue Cabrera and Gregorio, but if we can't do anything with this line up, we're in trouble.

rat farts.

oh well, it'll be good to see the pain on Reis' face after letting in 3 in the first 20 minutes.
