Still can't wait to see who it is.
I think the 3 new guys are an improvement and we need some more.

Wow, hard to believe a player isn't getting along with Steve Sampson, Mr. Team Chemistry.

I hear John Harkes is a Sampson fan. 😉

Seriously though, Jovan would be a great addition to RSL. I'll gladly give the Gals Dante AND Bechnke for him.

Can't imagine how they'd afford Jovan with the cap unless they trade Mathis or Pope for him. Not sure that would be a good idea.

Not that the MLS cap really matters, but how much is Jovan making now in LA?

IIRC, around $280 or $290k. If max salary per cap rules are at $275k, then they would only have that count against htem even if paying him $290k. Same with Mathis and Pope. BUT, this really squeezes the club if they have three guys at max (Pope, Mathis, Kiro in that case) who are all at $275 for cap purposes because the total roster max is around $2 mil. This would eat up over a third of the cap on three players. Doesn't work very well.

i relly like pope and all, but he is almost never with RSL. i feel we should dump him and get a player that will be with us a majority of the season

Would agree w/ the Pope assessment, but isn't next year going to be a lot calmer on the international front (WC aside)?

If Pope is with RSL and still part of the WC camp, then he will be gone most of June and July next year...so about 8-9 matches top.
