They were in the Great Glass Elevator, but I seem to remember them being mentioned at the end of Chocolate Factory, kinda setting up the sequel. Most of Roald Dahl is morbidly cool. The only thing I liked better in the 70's film version was the song Gene Wilder sings on the boat. Damn that's cool. "Is it raining, is it snowing, is a hurricane a-blowing?" He gets all Leo Bloom there at the end. I need that on DVD, I think. | |||||

Ok, I went and saw it. I really liked it. I don’t think I can say if it was better than the other one or not, they were different.
Favorite line: “Everything here is eatable….I'm eatable, but that my children is called cannibalism and it is frowned upon in most societies.” LMAO __________________

There is a Michael Caine movie called Shock to the Sytem that is pretty good. I much trod on professionally and personally) man finds out how easy it is to take care of his problems by killing people. It is a good dark comedy. Check out the review at allmovie.com. It is much better than they give it credit for and Caine is at his best.
