Exactly. Even if some feel that perception isn't warranted, I don't think the "Fine, do whatever you want" mentality solves anything.

Okay, everyone. Now we are starting to argue amongst ourselves. None of this is helping at all. I'm not really one for closing threads, but I think that this one should be closed right away. We need to stop all of this and remember that we are all on the same side here.

My specialty (apparently) is starting threads destined for the trash bin.

I want to wave at the RCB members who have not, in reality, left the forum at all but are lurking without signing in. I am sure they are enjoying this immensely. (You don't think they can really stay away, do you? Give me a break.)

Maybe I imagine the internet a little too abstractly, but in my mind I don't see a difference between having a "sub-forum" here on site A and having a seperate forum on site B. It's a matter of convenience to have it here as a sub-forum. Less typing, less bookmarks 🙂 RCB has a sub-forum here, too.

Besides, I don't think this is really "the problem". I think "the problem" is more on a personal level than a group level, and that too many are obsessed with pointing fingers, assessing blame, and creating controversy where there was none. That's not going to stop with a new forum.

It's funny that when I start a thread about a topic that I really want to discuss, people are like "ehhh whatever." And when I throw out an idea that I think "ehhh whatever" about, people jump all over it and discuss it endlessly, making me feel like the losermobile with my idea. Gotta love this place.

I think some of us have been guilty of trying to control things that we cannot. All we can do is take care of ourselves, and hope that we do not give offense in the process.

Time does indeed heal wounds.

In addition to not giving offense, don't take it either.
