I've never been someone accused of being sarcastic......:D
He was horrible last night. We needed two strong forwards and we got one. We needed trembly last night.

I have faith in mathis, but if you can tell he's not going to do much, take him out early (a la costa rica vs. US, they made a sub in the 20th minute).

Was anyone else surprised that Kreis and Mathis were being played as wingers against Chicago? Have they ever played that position? I think that last night's line up is the strongest we will ever get. I mean we had every main player out there (except maybe Washington for Brown, Dante is under performing). Essentially, if we believe that Mathis and Kreis can play on the wings, it doesn't get any better than this.
I am not convinced that having our best attackers out there is the best idea. Do they have enough in the tank to run that much?

Regardless of the score and the offsides and obvious penalties, the Fire had many chances that RSL got lucky on. On the bright side it was an away game, Watson did well, Kreis did score and of course, we are still an expansion team. Oh and the other canned answer is: We are still ahead of Chivas USA. 😉

I agree with all of this except Rusty Pierce was not in... So we could have been just a little bit stronger...

Ok, you boys are welcome to your opinion, but Trembly wasn't exactly a difference-maker last night in my eyes. Mathis didn't have a 10 out of 10 performance, either, that's for sure, but if you really DID re-watch the game, you'd notice that almost every single scoring opportunity involved Mathis at some point. Without his passes I'm not sure we would have even ever made it to the final third. To say that he could play harder may be correct, but to say he was terrible is just flat out wrong.

...If I am not mistaken....Trembly got a pass from watson in the penalty box that was one of our best chances..30 seconds after he got into the game...

Let the stats speak for themselves....we played better against the galaxy without mathis than we did against the fire with mathis....

I have rewatched the game...Mathis passing was terrible...if you noticed when the fire scored one of their goals..it was off one of mathis's pathetic pass..
for how much he is getting paid...I expect more than 1 good pass..:banpoop:

I saw Mathis playing defense last night, well once.

I agree, I think the Mathis fan club is going to be mighty quiet today.

Mathis has proved nothing over the first half of the season. Lets put in some players that want to be out there playing. Such as Trembly, Tiger and Dispi.

You realize, of course, that Watson and Brown were playing the forward positions, correct?
Mathis was playing the right wing.
