RSL @ Fire Game Thread [R]

Didn't see the [R] on the other thread, so I'll start a new one.

Moderators admonish as needed.

First 10 minutes Kreis has had a couple of good looks on goal. Much better start--now we just need to score.

Mapp running right by Akwari repeatedly on our right. Need to get that squared away.

Countess playing well.

Stats absolutely even.

Both teams with three shots, one each on goal.

Saved by the post in the 15th minute. Maybe it's our day.

Rover · 06-26-2005, 05:26 PM

Akwari adjusting well--back in control of the defensive right.

Professional foul draws a card on Cutler. Playing like a veteran.

Countess comes up big in the 27th minute.

Takes one for the team as well.

Ouch.

Ouch.

It was KILLING me having them show him down on the ground writhing around in pain - I couldn't watch! Sympathy pain, I guess.

I think DJ got a finger on that one.

He did--but the post got an assist on the save.

We're playing very aggressively on defense. Great to see.

Mango Jam · 06-26-2005, 05:40 PM

Do my eyes deceive me or does Andy have his shirt tucked in?

Rover · 06-26-2005, 05:45 PM

Oh there went a quality chance for Watson.

And I think you're right--the shirt is tucked, at least as much as it ever gets with Williams.
