Now that was an excellent use of sarcasm. I can respect that.

I have to disagree with you Sean. I think RCB is a very promising group.

I see what you mean Stucki. The melody perhaps isn't that important to intimidation factor. Then again, if you hear a nursery rhyme melody it might have the opposite effect.

Unfortunately, I have to sign off for a while. I hope we can continue to discuss this stuff, and I'm sorry for causing such a ruckus.

I think the intimidation comes from having 20,000 plus singing it.

Baa Baa black sheep have you any wool,
Yes sir, no sir three bags full
Two for may master and one for my dame
and none for the little boy who live down the lane

Ring around the rosies is about death from the plague

Anyway many of our nursery rhymes were started as political and/or social commentary, just like the Wizard of Oz in this country.

Sorry, I went all social studies geek on you guys.

OK, I'm wasting ALL DAY on this forum! I haven't even eaten anything yet! I've got to throw down a few more posts and then actually do something productive around the house...

I think we could really screw ourselves with the wrong melodies. I can't see "you suck" sung to the tune of "Popcorn Popping" being all that intimidating. :P

If we sing anything to popcorn, people might think we were at a #$@%@##@ BYU game.

It is happening tomorrow... because it is Sunday and/or prior obligations some people may not be there.

I will be there... I hope that does not deter anyone from coming along to cheer for RSL v Chicago.

I feel that I need to address the whole "exclusionary" bit that Deuce alluded to in one of his prior posts.

The #1, letter A, first reason that we decided that another supporters group would work is becuase we felt, rightly or wrongly, excluded by the core group of Loyalists. We know that there are people who will not fit with the Loyalists. Take for example the Tatoo guy. We met him after the match on Wednesday and had a nice long chat with him.

He purchased his season tix well before the season started because he knew that was where the supporters group would be sitting.

He has a tattoo of the RSL logo (or crown, I can't remember) on his arm.

He gets brought up on the boards because Ska thinks that he know him or something and immediately people start to tell about their bad experiences sitting next to him. It was unfortunate, but it is just an example or how we have felt, again rightly or wrongly, like we weren't real supporters because we weren't part of the original core group.

I'm not being negative or hostile, I'm just airing this all out in the spirit of getting it out in the open. It's not just about the nursery rhymes, that is just one way how we think that we can improve.

In addition, in case people didn't notice, we are brothers. If it sounds like we have some inside jokes or something like that, we probably do. We aren't trying to exclude anybody from those.

Anyway, I'll be on for a little longer if you have any questions. My brothers and Ska will eventually read this, and may react differently than I have. I feel much calmer now, but they will unavoidably be hot when they read this thread, so please keep this in mind when they post.

We would have brought this out to the open on OUR timetable. We weren't being secretive, we were just planning.
