Somebody already brought this question up but it never got answered: Do they have mascots and cheerleaders in other countries? The only other country I'm familiar with is Brazil and I don't remember them having mascots and cheerleaders there. Off the subject: I mentioned to someone that I wanted to attend a soccer game in Sao Paulo and was told that it would be extremely dangerous for an American to attend. I never attended, but I wonder if my mission president would have approved it. I saw the stadiums where Sao Paulo, Santos, and Sao Caetano do Sul play. Soccer is the biggest religion in Brazil.

I never saw any mascots in Italy, but I've seen a picture of Keller joking around with the mascot of his German team, which I believe is called Borussia Madenchladengladenbachenglabbenbach.

Arsenal has a Gunnersaurus, much to the delight of the fans who enjoy making fun of the Gunnersaurus.

I think a good reason not to have a mascot is because there is only one place you could really have it run around and do 'mascot' things---> the north endzone. It would get really boring to see those 'fantastic' mascot antics for 90 minutes plus right next to the our lovely 'pure' loyalist section.

That being said, I like Lions. We should have a Lion mascot. Maybe someone could get the costume Aslan wears in the new Narnia movies...
oh wait, his costume is digital. I hope they have Lion-type clothing on underneath!

When RSL gets their own stadium I don't think that will be as big an issue. I don't really care if RSL has a mascot one way or another. But it might be fun for my younger kids when I bring them to a game.

The Pantomime Horses from the Monty Python routine did not have to fight to the death after all.

One of them got a job as the mascot for Atlante in Mexico.

Timber Jim - the coolest mascot in American Sports. All others pale in comparison - especially cheasy animal suits.

If Rusty took down the Banana with a wicked slide tackle from behind for charity, I'd toss in $5! 🙂
