Maybe the Sacramento Kings will loan us Slamson when they're in the offseason, and we could dress him up in an RSL outfit.

Maybe when Burger King is done with their promotions, they will lend us that creepy king! I like the lion idea, king of the jungle. The Spanish idea is brilliant. It doesn't have to be a conquistador, what's wrong with a regular old Spanish Knight?

I loathe mascots conceptually though the Jazz Bear does make me laugh sometimes. I hope RSL never gets one, but if it is a lion it would be hilarious if it were one of those two-person suits (normally a horse)..

I agree... no mascot and after watching the Crew game, I hope we NEVER go with cheerleaders either.

I think a big ol' green mythical sea creature would be a nifty mascot.

Amen amen amen - I was always against them but seeing them at CCC reinforced the anti-cheerleading sentiment even more.

I think we are getting along just fine without a mascot. I hope we don't get one.

Now, if they want to come up with more Real Girls, that's different.

I'm not talking about cheerleaders or dancers, I just mean some cute embassadors of the game. I've already seen some girls with Cars-Mart dressed in Real uniforms. They were hanging out in the Blood Gutter towards the end of the Chivas game.

Let's let them know they are welcome to stand in our section anytime.

Wow, man! I only saw the second half of that game which made me nauseous, but I almost puked outright when I saw the Columbus cheerleaders! They all seemed fat and ugly! Cheerleaders have no place in soccer! Thats what organized fan clubs, such as the Loyalists, are for. The crowd should be starting chants, singing, cheering, etc., not some bimbo that doesn't know a thing about the sport.

Along the mascot lines, do any European teams have mascots? I'm not as knowledgeable about soccer outside the US, but mascots seem to be a very American thing in professional sports.

Don't quote me (ok fine quote me) but I ws told a lion mascot suit has been ordered. Of course I was told that just prior to the home opener... and it was expected to make its first appearance at the Smurfquakes game... so who knows.
