Which reminds me, I'm hungry. What's on the menu this week? You doing both games (Sat and Wed)? Is $1.50 covering it adequately?

Yes, is $1.50 enough? It didn't seem like enough so I dumped $10 in the bucket for 3 to eat.

Nope. I think you are actually being quite reasonable.

The menu is the same this week. $1.50 does cover it right now. We're not tailgating on Wednesday night. It's going to be tough to do tailgates on the weekday, non-holiday games. We'll take each one game-by-game though.

BOOOOO! Call me a city-snob or what you like. NO stadium in Sandy. Livin in the suburbs is fine if you like it (i didnt, love living in the city now 19 seconds from the RES) but its no place for a soccer stadium. Not Real Sandy. Real Salt Lake. (and I know sandy is SL county, but that doesnt count).

Of course, the one night I have 2 1/2 hours to kill on campus after work!

Oh well... Deuce will just have to work extra hard to get his covert Nessie pictures this week. :D

We are all still meeting at the Tailgate spot at 5-5:30'ish but it is BYOF (Bring your Own Food!) there will not be a grill set up!

So bring yourself and some subway, or something, and we will all stand around and find something interesting to talk about for 2 1/2 hours.

Well, all this talk of a stadium being built has got me thinking/wondering. Where do the majority of the fans come from (Would a 15 mile change in venue dramatically change attendence)? What is the population break down of the Wasatch Front (Where do all the people live)?

I couldn't find any data an where the fans come from, but I did find some good data on the Utah website about population.
http://www.governor.state.ut.us/dea...005Baseline.pdf

According to the 2005 baseline population the breakdown is as follows:

Salt Lake County:970,748
Davis County:276,374
Utah County: 453,977
Weber County:212,707
Total for Metro Area:1,913,806

Throw in Tooele and Summit counties with their proximity (both within 35 miles of Salt Lake)
Tooele County:51,835
Summit County:36,417

So what does this all mean? I don't know, I wore myself out just finding this information. Someone else can break the numbers down if they so wish.

I will say though, go Utah County many more people than I thought!! 😲
