Reserve team helped...

I bet the result would have been a little different if MLS didn't finally develop a reserve team. Imagine if Jay Nolly had to come in and man the pipes for his first ever appearance for the team in a non-practice environment. Playing for the reserve side had to have helped his nerves somewhat.

Speaking of which, what was the result for the reserve match Sunday morning?

Our reserves got shelled 3 - 1. However since they have international players on their reserve squad and we are playing rookies.....

3 - 1 ?

That Clint Baumstark, I never liked that guy. Wait, who?
What is this world coming to that you can't trust the rent-a-keeper to get you a solid result. Where's Kamler when you need him...

Referee: Feliciano Palomino; Referee's Assistants: Alex Krelo, Jeff Young; 4th Official: Gunther Haidenthaller.

I think that was the problem 😉

Kamler was practicing in goal last week -- I thought it was funny so I took a picture of it with one of Deuce's fancy-schmancy cameras. I haven't developed the film yet though!

If you are interested, here are a whole bunch of shots of Kamler in goal. They are the last ones on the page. It was interesting watching him. He actually did a fairly decent job between the pipes. Not that I think that DJ or Jay have any competition.

I nominated this one for photo of the week!

I love Kamler because a) he's awesome and b) because he's the only one on the team who is older than I am - even if only by a couple of months.

Horray! Did he bring his magic 8-ball?
