I think i have to change my mind about wah-bel. It looked to me like he acctually was saying, 'NO! NO!' to the ref and got a sigh of duissapointment on his face as the ref walked over to Mathis and pulled out his yellow card. watch it for yourselves, it happened about the 88th minute.

Kind of makes me feel a 'little' sorry for someone chucking a lighter at him. infact you see it happen right after the yellow card.

anyway, whatever. just an observation

Yeah, I think you are right. I also thought it was Waibel who was yelling at the injured Rusty Pierce on the ground but it wasn't.

Also, there is no way the projectile came from the Loyalists - it came from somewhere much closer to midfield. I saw it mid-flight as well and it came from the midfield area.

Unfortunately some of the debris may very well have come from someone in the Loyalists or at least a Loyalist "wannabe". The red object that struck Waibel as well as several other items (looked like a few game programs) came pretty much from the "spillover" area in the front of section 33 which was comprised of fans who were standing and largely joining in with the Loyalist cheers. If anyone at a future match is near someone who starts throwing objects onto the pitch, please firmly (but politely) tell them there are more appropriate ways to support RSL. Right now, we enjoy a lot of freedom in that we are already expanding and growing out of our designated areas and likely are already bumping fans who prefer to sit out of the season tickets they have paid for, so let's try to act in a civil manner so we can continue to behave in a rowdy, yet relatively well-behaved manner. If we start getting complaints from visiting teams on a regular basis, team management might have to clamp down on us which would be unfortunate.

I was disappointed to see that. Now we have to pick a new smurfquake to heap abuse on.
