Kreiss, Tiger, and Rojas to miss Wednesday's match I read in today's D-News that due to Kreiss getting his 3rd yellow card, in as many games, he will miss the match against Chivas in Tuesday. Rojas and Tiger both got called up by the Trinidad and Tobago National Team and will miss the game as well. I felt that a big part of RSL's win over L.A. was due to the play of Kriess and Tiger. I hope that we don't have a letdown against Chivas. I will be optimistic, however, and predict that RSL will beat Chivas 3 - nil.

yup its true:
http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,600134085,00.html Without Kreis, Rojas and Tiger, what the guess on the formation? My guess would be: Selolwane-Mathis Williams Whitfield-Brown/Kreamameyer Kamler Akwari-Dunseth-Pope-Bechnke/Lookingland Nolly

Kreis will be missed, obviously, and Tiger has been a great addition from the moment he joined the team. Once again, our bench will have to step up and do the job.
That said, I think our bench outplayed the Galaxy's bench, and some of the role players did well too (like Chris Brown). Nolly stood out for obvious reasons, but the whole team showed much more heart and fight than I have seen since the home opener. I'm guessing everyone else had the same feeling that I did when Kries scored with a half hour still left on the clock--please don't tank like we did against San Jose! To their credit, they did what they had to do to preserve the win. The sc will have trouble on our plastic grass--their whole game is ball control and that's next to impossible to do on Field Turf, as the Galaxy discovered. Still undefeated at home--a record worth preserving.

💡 Whatever the lineup, those players will be missed. Kreis has been a workhorse from day one. Rojas has definitely made himself known, and Tiger is a tiger, he lives up to his nick-name. I just don't see anyone else fighting for the ball and controlling the ball as Tiger does.
The good news is that they'll be back. The other good news is that we have a lot of really good players that can take their place. The question is, will they actually step up and do the job? And we won't know until Wednesday, after the game. What do you say, guys? I say, let's make them pay for the humiliation we received last time. Let's serve them up some humble pie, and make them eat it all. __________________

A couple of things that catch my eye here. First, what have you done with Rusty? I want Rusty. Lookingland? That's going down the depth chart a bit. Second, Laser Luke hasn't seen much time since Whitfield recovered from his ankle injury. I wouldn't expect him to jump ahead for Wednesday. The 4-5-1 has worked out so far, in large part due to Tiger. Without Kreis & Tiger Ellinger may decide to go back to 2 forwards. DJ is expected back too.

Ok I was on crack, Pierce should be in not Behcke or Lookingland (he isn't that bad, seriously).
My formation is a 4-4-2 Selolwane-Mathis Williams Whitfield-Brown/Kreamameyer Kamler Akwari-Dunseth-Pope-Pierce Nolly I didn't think DJ would be back from what I have read.

I think Clint is due. He always takes him game up a notch, but I would expect him to take it up a notch above that. After all, these guys humilated us (like you said) we're not going to let them do it again. One thing I noticed in Saturday's game is that Clint was passing the ball and playing very unselfishly. With Kreiss gone I would expect him to take more shots himself. Here's the lineup I think will happen:
Mathis - Selowane Brown - Behncke - Kamler - Kreamalmeyer/Trembly Pope - Pierce - Dunseth - Akwari

I'm happy to see Selolwane in the mix for everyone's predictions on the lineup. Hopefully, this is the chance he needs to show what he's got. It could be a make-it-or-break-it for him.
